(טו) וַיִּקַּ֛ח ה' אֱלֹהִ֖ים אֶת־הָֽאָדָ֑ם וַיַּנִּחֵ֣הוּ בְגַן־עֵ֔דֶן לְעָבְדָ֖הּ וּלְשָׁמְרָֽהּ׃
(15) And the LORD God took the man, and put him into the garden of Eden to work it and to guard it.
(יא) וְאַבְרָהָ֤ם וְשָׂרָה֙ זְקֵנִ֔ים בָּאִ֖ים בַּיָּמִ֑ים חָדַל֙ לִהְי֣וֹת לְשָׂרָ֔ה אֹ֖רַח כַּנָּשִֽׁים׃ (יב) וַתִּצְחַ֥ק שָׂרָ֖ה בְּקִרְבָּ֣הּ לֵאמֹ֑ר אַחֲרֵ֤י בְלֹתִי֙ הָֽיְתָה־לִּ֣י עֶדְנָ֔ה וַֽאדֹנִ֖י זָקֵֽן׃ (יג) וַיֹּ֥אמֶר ה' אֶל־אַבְרָהָ֑ם לָ֣מָּה זֶּה֩ צָחֲקָ֨ה שָׂרָ֜ה לֵאמֹ֗ר הַאַ֥ף אֻמְנָ֛ם אֵלֵ֖ד וַאֲנִ֥י זָקַֽנְתִּי׃
(11) Now Avraham and Sarah were old, and advanced in years; Sarah had ceased to have a womanly cycle - (12) Sarah laughed within herself, saying: ‘After I am withered shall I have pleasure (or smooth skin), my lord being old [also]?’ (13) The LORD said to Abraham: 'Will I nonetheless give birth though I have grown old?'

(כד) עַל־כֵּן֙ יַֽעֲזָב־אִ֔ישׁ אֶת־אָבִ֖יו וְאֶת־אִמּ֑וֹ וְדָבַ֣ק בְּאִשְׁתּ֔וֹ וְהָי֖וּ לְבָשָׂ֥ר אֶחָֽד׃
Breishit 2:24
(24) Therefore shall a man leave his father and his mother, and shall cleave unto his wife, and they shall be one flesh.
(א) על כן יעזב איש את אביו ואת אמו ודבק באשתו וגו' ... והנה יעזוב שאר אביו ואמו וקורבתם ויראה שאשתו קרובה לו מהם:
So shall a man leave his father and mother and cleave to his wife - ... So shall he leave his father and mother and their closeness and he shall see that his wife is closer to him than they are.
(ב) לבשר אחד. הולד נוצר על ידי שניהם, ושם נעשה בשרם אחד:
As One Flesh
The[ir] offspring is created by the two of them and that is where their flesh becomes as one.
(טז) כָּל אַהֲבָה שֶׁהִיא תְלוּיָה בְדָבָר, בָּטֵל דָּבָר, בְּטֵלָה אַהֲבָה. וְשֶׁאֵינָהּ תְּלוּיָה בְדָבָר, אֵינָהּ בְּטֵלָה לְעוֹלָם.
אֵיזוֹ הִיא אַהֲבָה הַתְּלוּיָה בְדָבָר, זוֹ אַהֲבַת אַמְנוֹן וְתָמָר. וְשֶׁאֵינָהּ תְּלוּיָה בְדָבָר, זוֹ אַהֲבַת דָּוִיד וִיהוֹנָתָן:
(16) Any love that is dependent on something, when that thing perishes, so too does the love. [A love] that is not dependent on something, does not ever perish.
What's an example of a love that is dependent on something? That's the love of Amnon and Tamar. And a love that is not dependent on something? That's the love of David and Jonathan.
(ב) וַיֹּ֨אמֶר אֱלֹהִ֤ים ׀ לְיִשְׂרָאֵל֙ בְּמַרְאֹ֣ת הַלַּ֔יְלָה וַיֹּ֖אמֶר יַעֲקֹ֣ב ׀ יַעֲקֹ֑ב וַיֹּ֖אמֶר הִנֵּֽנִי׃
(2) And God spoke unto Israel in the visions of the night, and said: ‘Jacob, Jacob.’ And he said: ‘Here am I.’

כי גרים ותושבים אתם עמדי - יש לומר בזה בדרך רמז להבין זה על פי ששמעתי מחכם אחד על פסוק (תהילים קיט ,יט): "גר אנוכי בארץ אל תסתר ממני מצותיך".
כי ידוע מן איכות טבע העולם כי מי שהוא גר איו לו עם בעולם הזה . ולכן "אל תסתר ממני מצותיך "כמו גר אחד בפני חבירו שמספר לו כל לבו . וזה יש לומר הרמז מי לדבק ולקרב עצמו ולספר לו כל מאורעותיו וכל לבו שאין לו חבר לא ישראל ולא גוים אך כשרואה חבירו הגר אזי מספר כל אחד בפני חבירו כל מאורעותיו.
וידוע הקב"ה הוא כמו גר בעולם הזה' שאין לו על מי להשרות שכינת כבודו יתברך כי זעירין אינון וכו'. והוא שהתפלל דוד המלך ע"ה" גר אנוכי בארץ" - היינו אני גם כן איני רוצה להיות תושב בעולם הזה ואני רק כגר הבא, אז אתם עמדי כי אני גם כן גר בעולם הזה כנ"ל וממילא אל אסתיר מכם מצותי כנ"ל בפסוק" כי גרים ותושבים". כשתהיו בבחינת גר בעולם הזה ותושב בעולם
והבן.

“For you are but strangers resident with Me” - One can explain this on the level of remez (hint), in accordance with that which I learned from one sage regarding the verse (Ps. 119:19; translation from ibid.)
“I am only a sojourner in this land; do not hide Your commandments from me.”
For as is known, it is the way of the world
that one who is a ger (stranger) has no nation (neither Israel nor the other nations) to cleave to and to draw close to and to share his story and indeed, his heart. Yet when this ger sees another ger, each tells the other his story. And as is known, God is like a ger in this world, for God has no one to dwell among, for we are too limited. Thus David prayed “I am only a sojourner in this land;” that is, I too do not want to be a resident of this world, (rather) I only want to be a ger! And therefore, “do not hide Your commandments from me,” as one ger to another. This is the remez in the verse, “For you are but strangers resident with Me:” When you will be gerim in this world and residents of the next, then you are “with Me,” for I too am a ger in this world...and of course I will not hide My mitzvot from you.
