Aspects of Miriam’s story are depicted. Baby Moses is in a basket, the hand and the white and grey coloured growths on the rocks represent leprosy. According to the Torah, Miriam’s wells dried up when she died, this is represented by the water flowing at the top of the collage and dry wells and landscape at the bottom.
