And God blessed them and God said to them, ‘Be fruitful, and multiply, and fill the earth and master it; and rule the fish of the sea, the birds of the sky, and all the living things that creep on earth.’
A Psalm of David. __________________ _______________________, the world and its inhabitants.
(16) The heavens belong to the LORD, but the earth He gave over to humanity.
The previous two verses seem to contradict one another: To whom does the earth belong? How could you harmonize them?
And the LORD God took the man and placed him in the garden of Eden, _________________________________.
When in your war against a city you have to besiege it a long time in order to capture it, you must not destroy its trees, wielding the axe against them. You may eat of them, but you must not cut them down. Are trees of the field human to withdraw before you into the besieged city? Only trees that you know do not yield food may be destroyed; you may cut them down for constructing siegeworks against the city that is waging war on you, until it has been reduced.
To Adam He said, "Because you ______________ your wife's voice but ate of the tree about which I commanded you, 'You shall not eat of it,'
Cursed be the ground because of you;
At the time that the Holy One created the first man, He introduced him to every tree in the Garden of Eden, and said to him, ‘See how wonderful and pleasant these trees are. And all of this I have created for you; therefore take great care that you do not damage and destroy My world, for if you do there is no one else to put right what you have destroyed.’

(19) And the LORD said to Moses, “Say to Aaron: Take your rod and hold out your arm over the waters of Egypt—its rivers, its canals, its ponds, all its bodies of water—that they may turn to blood; there shall be blood throughout the land of Egypt, even in vessels of wood and stone.”

SAY TO AARON — Because the river had protected Moses when he was cast into it, it was not struck by him, neither at the plague of blood nor at that of frogs, and it was struck by Aaron instead (Shemot Rabbah 9:10).
