(ב) כָּל הַשּׁוֹפָרוֹת כְּשֵׁרִין חוּץ מִשֶּׁל פָּרָה, מִפְּנֵי שֶׁהוּא קֶרֶן. אָמַר רַבִּי יוֹסֵי, וַהֲלֹא כָל הַשּׁוֹפָרוֹת נִקְרְאוּ קֶרֶן, שֶׁנֶּאֱמַר (יהושע ו), בִּמְשֹׁךְ בְּקֶרֶן הַיּוֹבֵל:


(2) All shofarot are fit/proper except one from a cow, since it is [called] a "horn" [keren]. Rabbi Yosi said: But aren’t all shofarot called "horn," as it is stated, “And when the ram's horn blasts for a long time” (Josh 6:5)?
