Moshe is entreating God to let him know that he is truly in God's favor. How can he ask such a thing? We just heard that God speaks to him as a person speaks to their neighbor, not in a vision, not in a dream, not in a riddle, but face to face. How can Moshe not be convinced that he is in God's favor!?
ועתה וגו׳ NOW THEREFORE etc. — If it is true that I have found favour in Thy eyes, הודיעני נא את דרכך LET ME KNOW YOUR WAY — let me know what reward You give to those who find favour in Thine eyes.

למען אמצא חן בעיניך כי בזה אמצא חן ושכל טוב בעיני אלקים,
