(24) Therefore, says the Master,
the LORD of Armies,
Israel's Mighty One:
“Oh, I will settle scores with my foes;
And take vengeance of my enemies,
(25) And bring my hand back upon you
And take away all of your rubbish
(26) and bring back your judges as before,
And your counselors as long ago.
After that you shall be called town of righteousness,
faithful city.”
(10) And God saw what Ninevah's acts, that they had turned back from their evil way, and God stopped from the evil that He said to do to them, and He did not do it.

(1) And the thing was very evil for Jonah, and he was angry. (2) And he prayed to God and said, “I beg you, God, did I not say this when I was still in my land? Therefore I fled to Tarshish, for I knew that You are a gracious and compassionate God, slow to anger and abundant in kindness and stopping from evil ways. (3) And now, God, take my life, please, for better my death than my life.” (4) And God said, "Are you good and angry?” (5) And Jonah went out of the city and sat down to the east of the city and made himself a shelter there and sat under it in the shade until he might see what would happen in the city. (6) And God set out a plant, and it rose up over Jonah to be a shade over his head to save him from his evil and difficult situation. And Jonah rejoiced greatly over the plant. (7) And God set out a worm as dawn came up on the next morning, and it struck the plant and it withered. (8) And it happened, as the sun rose, that God sent out a slashing east wind, and the sun struck Jonah’s head and he grew faint and wanted to die, and he said, “Better my death than my life.” (9) And God said to Jonah, “Are you good and angry about the plant?” And he said, "I am good and angry to the point of death." (10) And God said: “You- you had pity over the plant, for which you did not work for and which you did not grow, which overnight came and overnight was gone. (11) And I, shall I not I have pity for Nineveh the great city, in which there are many more than one hundred and twenty thousand human beings who do not know their between their right hand and their left, and many beasts?”
(8) “It was told to you, man, what is good,
And what the LORD demands of you:
Only do justice and loving kindness,
And walk humbly with your God;-c
(8) And the copy of the writing of the rule that was given out in Shushan to destroy the Jews Mordecai gave to Esther's servant to show to Esther, to tell her, and to charge her to come to the king to plead with him and to entreat him for her people.
And Esther said, (11) “All the king’s servants and the people of the king’s provinces know that every man and woman who comes into the inner court without having been called, the single rule is to put to death unless the king reach out to him the golden sceptor. And as for me, I have not been called to come to the king thirty days now."
(13) And Mordecai said in response to Esther: “Do not imagine to escape of all the Jews in the house of the king. (14) For if you indeed remain silent, relief and rescue will come to the Jews from elsewhere, and you and your father's house will perish. And who knows whether for just a time like this you have attained royalty?”
(1) A David Psalm.
The LORD is my shepherd;
I shall not want.
(2) In grass meadows He makes me lie down,
By quiet waters guides me
(3) My life He brings back.
He leads me on pathways of justice
for His name's sake.
(4) Though I walk in the valley of death's shadow
I fear no harm
for You are with me;
Your rod and Your staff—
it is they that comfort me.
(5) You set out a table before me
in the face of my foes.
You moisten my head with oil;
my cup overflows.
(6) Let but goodness and kindness pursue me
all the days of my life.
And I shall dwell in the house of the LORD
for many long days.
