A person who reads the Shm'a and puts the elements of redemption close to prayer.
G-d is close and far away at the same time - transcendental and imminent. When a person prays, he is able to come close and reveals that which is hidden which is the honour of G-d which fills the whole world.
(He is playing on the word Geula and Gilui - revelation and redemption).
This is the purpose of prayer after reading the Kriyas Sh'ma. According to the unity which a person presents to God, where it becomes clear to him, and he starts to testify (and we only testify the truth, the whole truth and nothing but the truth) that G-d is one (the Shm'a first paragraph) and that He is the one who provides sustenance for the entire world (paragraph two of the Sh'ma), so too, he can cleave to his prayer (of the Shmonei Esreh). The greater he cleaves to that prayer, the more his prayer will be answered.
This is what it means to have redemption close to prayer.
The definition of redemption is the knowledge that even within all the hiddenness and exile and externality, there is a hidden element of G-d in our physical reality.
Once that happens, he will experience redemption.
When a person remembers the exodus from Egypt (3rd paragraph of the Shm'a, it will become revealed and clarified to him he will see that even the darkness comes from G-d;
(through that realisation) a person can pray (in the silent Amida) that there will and can be a revelation of God in his life, because this is part of everything?
