(1) A psalm, a song for the dedication of the House, of David.

(2) I exalt You, Hashem, for You have drawn me up,

and have not let my enemies rejoice over me.

(3) Hashem, my God, I cried out to You, and You healed me.

(4) Hashem, You brought me/my soul up from She-ol,

gave me life among those who go down into the pit.

(5) Sing to Hashem, you who are faithful to Him,

and give thanks to His holy name.

(6) For it is only a moment in His anger, life in His favor.

One lies down crying

and in the morning - shouts of joy.

(7) As for me, I said when I was tranquil,

"I will never falter."

(8) Hashem, in Your favor you raised me up as a mountain of strength.

You hid Your face, and I was terrified.

(9) To You, Hashem, I call,

to my Lord I plead,

(10) “What benefit is there in my blood,

In my descent into the underworld?

Does dust thank You?

Does it speak of Your faithfulness?

(11) Hear, Hashem, and grace me;

Hashem, be my helper!”

(12) You turned my lament into a dance for me,

you opened my sackcloth and girded me with joy,

(13) thus/so that "Glory״ might sing to You and not be silent --

Hashem my God, I will always thank You.

(1) A psalm of David:

Hashem is my shepherd. I shall not want.

(2) He lays me down in grassy pastures.

He leads me by quiet waters.

(3) He restores my spirit.

He guides me through paths of justice for the sake of His name.

(4) Even if I walk through a valley of deep darkness,

I will not fear evil, for You are with me.

Your rod and staff, they comfort me.

(5) You prepare a table before me

in the presence of my foes.

You have anointed my head with oil.

My cup overflows.

(6) Surely, goodness and compassion will follow me

all the days of my life,

and I will dwell in Hashem’s house

forever.
