How are the heavens the work of God's hands? - Psalm 102:26

Psalm 102:26

"In the beginning

You laid the foundations of the earth,

and the heavens

are the work of Your hands."

As we look up to the heavens, we are awestruck by the realization that infinity and the universe are truly incomprehensible. Yet there had to be a creator of this wonder. Surely it was not by happenstance that the universe with phenomena that span from galaxies to neutrinos to the DNA, inside each cell, came to be.

Einstein once said “God does not play dice with the universe.” The likelihood of all this complexity arising by accident has been compared to the likelihood of a bottle of ink that accidentally spills and randomly forms the words of the Constitution.

The vast awesomeness of the world and all that is in it, prove there is an author. When we are aware that “the work of Your hands are in the heavens,” when we see the world as it is, we realize that there must be an ‘intelligent designer’ of this limitless miraculous complexity.

Perhaps, then we may begin to discover our purpose on earth, in the understanding that God is the source of all blessings, great and small.”
