Reframing Tsniut

What is Tzniut?

Why do we have it?

When did it come about?

Is it directly from the Torah?

How can we be tzniut?

(3) No one else shall come up with you, and no one else shall be seen anywhere on the mountain; neither shall the flocks and the herds graze at the foot of this mountain.”

First time we see word Tsniut is rashi's comment on this

AND NO MAN SHALL GO UP WITH THEE — Because the first tablets were given amidst great noises and alarms and a vast assembly the “evil eye” had power over them— there is no finer quality than to be unostentatious! (Midrash Tanchuma 3:9:31).

where else in Torah do we see word Tsniut? and what it is referring to?

(8) “He has told you, O man, what is good, And what the LORD requires of you: Only to do justice And to love goodness, And to walk modestly with your God;

(2) When arrogance appears, disgrace follows, But wisdom is with those who are unassuming.
