Composed: Karlin, Belarus, c.1830 – c.1870 CE
The bulk of this work contains the teachings of Aaron of Karlin II, but also included are extant writings of his grandfather, Aaron HaGadol of Karlin I, his father - Asher I, and son - Asher II. The content of the book includes insights on the weekly Torah portion and Jewish holidays, Chasidic aphorisms, and letters from the author to his son and to his followers. Also included are rules of daily conduct according to Chasidic practice.
