רד"ק יחזקאל פרק מז פסוק ו
(ו) ויאמר אלי הראית בן אדם - כלומר איך הנחל הזה הולך וגדל הבן בו רוצה לומר כן תהיה טובת ישראל הולכת וגדלה: ויוליכני וישיבני על שפת הנחל - הוליכני והוציאני מן המים והושיבני על שפת הנחל שהכניסני ממנו אל המים:
Radak Ezekiel 47:6
“Do you see, O mortal?” he said to me – Meaning, do you see how this river gets progressively greater? Understand this, meaning that so too the goodness coming to Israel will progressively increase. and he led me back to the bank of the stream – He led me and took me out of the water and seated me on the bank of the stream, from where he had brought me into the water.
מלבי"ם יחזקאל פרק מז פסוק ח
(ח) ויאמר אלי. עתה בא לפרש לו שני המראות שראה, ופי' לו תחלה ענין המים והנחל שראה, ואח"ז (בפסוק י"ב) יפרש לו מה ענין העצים. אמר לו שהמים האלה יוצאים אל הגלילה הקדמונה היינו לים המזרחי, וירדו על הערבה אל ים הערבה, ובאו הימה ר"ל משם יבואו אל ים אחר, אל הימה המוצאים ר"ל ומן הים האחר יבוא אל הים שהוא יוצא מן הישוב, דהיינו אל ים אוקינוס. ונרפאו המים, ובכל אלה הארבעה הימים שיבואו שם ירפאו המים ממליחותם ואמרו חז"ל להיכן הם יוצאים, לים טבריה, ולים סדום ולים אוקינוס, לרפאות המים המלוחים, וירדו על הערבה זה ימה של טבריה, ובאו הימה זה ימה של סדום, ואל המים המוצאים זה ים אוקינוס. וכונת המליצה הזאת, שמי הדעת והכרת ה' יתפשטו אז בין שני האומות אדום וישמעאל, שישמעאל הם יושבי המזרח, ואדום הם יושבי המערב, כמ"ש (זכריה י"ד) והיה ביום ההוא יצאו מים חיים מירושלים חצים אל הים הקדמוני וחצים אל הים האחרון והם השני כתות שראה במשל שא' עובר במי ברכים וא' עובר במי מתנים, ואז ישתו את המים המדעים אשר יצאו מבית ה' ויקבלו האמונה האמתית וירפאו מן המלח סדומית המסמא את העינים באמונות בלתי אמתיות. וכן יצאו המים המדעיים גם אל ימה של סדום, שהיא מליצה על המשוקעים עוד בעבודת אלילים שעליהם רמז במי אפסים, וגם הם ירפאו מן המלח המכלה עיני רואים, ויראו אור בהיר, וגם ירד לימה של טבריה ששם מושב בני ישראל אשר המליץ עליהם במי שחו, לרפאות גם תחלואי נפשם וכולם ישתו מן המים המדעיים ותבא חכמה כמים בקרבם איש לפי הכנתו:
Malbim on Ezekiel 47:8
And he said to me – Now he is coming to explain to the prophet the two visions which he saw. First he explained to him the matter of the valley and the water which he saw, and afterwards (in verse 12) he will explain the issue of the trees. He said to him that this water is going out to the eastern region, that is to the eastern sea, and then descending to the Aravah to the sea of the Aravah. Then it will come to the sea, that is to say from there it will come to another sea. Into the sea 'that is brought out,' that is to say that from the other sea it will come to the sea which lies beyond the settled lands, meaning the ocean. The waters will be healed, meaning that all these four seas to which the water will come will be healed of their saltiness. The Sages said: to where are these waters going out? To the sea of Tiberia, to the sea of Sodom and to the ocean in order to heal the salty waters. When it says 'descending to the Aravah,' this refers to the sea of Tiberia, 'then it will come to the sea' refers to the sea of Sodom, 'into the sea that is brought out' refers to the ocean. The true intention of this poetic presentation is that the waters of knowledge and the awareness of the Lord will spread out then among the two nations Edom and Yishamel, because Yishmael inhabits the east and Edom inhabits the west, as it is written "And it shall come to pass on that day that spring water shall come forth from Jerusalem; half of it to the eastern sea, and half of it to the western sea…" (Zechariah 14:8) These are the two groups which the prophet saw, one passing through knee deep water and one through waist deep. Then they will drink the waters of knowledge which come out from the house of the Lord, receive the true faith and be healed of the Sodom salt which blinds the eyes with false faiths. So too the waters of knowledge will go out toward the sea of Sodom, which is a metaphor for those that are still sunk in idolatry, hinted at by the phrase 'ankle deep water.' They too will be healed from the salt which extinguishes the eyes of those that see, and will see clear light. The water will also descend to the sea of Tiberia, where the children of Israel dwell who are referred to as water that must be crossed by swimming, to heal the sickness of their soul. All will drink the waters of knowledge and wisdom will come like water within them, each according to their capacity.
