    (1) Hashem took note of Sarah as He had promised, and Hashem did for Sarah as He had spoken. (2) Sarah became pregnant and bore a son to Avraham in his old age, at the set time of which Hashem had spoken.

AND THE LIFE OF SARAH WAS 127 YEARS (literally, 100 years, 20 years and 7 years) — The reason the word שנה is written at every term is to tell you that each term must be explained by itself as a complete number: at the age of one hundred she was as a woman of twenty as regards sin — for just as at the age of twenty one may regard her as having never sinned, since she had not then reached the age when she was subject to punishment, so, too, when she was one hundred years old she was sinless — and when she was twenty she was as beautiful as when she was seven (Genesis Rabbah 58:1).

  5. #2 - Yaakov

    (9) While he was still speaking with them, Rachel came with her father’s flock; for she was a shepherdess. (10) And when Yaakov saw Rachel, the daughter of his uncle Lavan, and the flock of his uncle Lavan, Yaakov went up and rolled the stone off the mouth of the well, and watered the flock of his uncle Lavan.

    (1) Bnei Yisrael arrived in a body at the wilderness of Zin on the first new moon, and the people stayed at Kadesh. Miriam died there and was buried there. (2) The community was without water, and they joined against Moshe and Aharon.

AND THERE WAS NO WATER FOR THE CONGREGATION — Since this statement follows immediately after the mention of Miriam’s death, we may learn from it that during the entire forty years they had the “well” through Miriam’s merit (Taanit 9a).
  11. #4 - Moshe

    (21) Then Moshe held out his arm over the sea and Hashem drove back the sea with a strong east wind all that night, and turned the sea into dry ground. The waters were split, (22) and Bnei Yisrael went into the sea on dry ground, the waters forming a wall for them on their right and on their left.

    (21) Then Yael wife of Chever took a tent pin and grasped the mallet. When he was fast asleep from exhaustion, she approached him stealthily and drove the pin through his temple till it went down to the ground. Thus he died. (22) Now Barak appeared in pursuit of Sisera. Yael went out to greet him and said, “Come, I will show you the man you are looking for.” He went inside with her, and there Sisera was lying dead, with the pin in his temple. (23) On that day Hashem defeated King Yavin of Canaan before Bnei Yisrael.

    (5) So Shimshon and his father and mother went down to Timnah. When he came to the vineyards of Timnah [for the first time], a full-grown lion came roaring at him. (6) The spirit of Hashem gripped him, and he tore him apart with his bare hands as one might tear a goat apart; but he did not tell his father and mother what he had done.

    (3) But Shimshon lay in bed only till midnight. At midnight he got up, grasped the doors of the town gate together with the two gateposts, and pulled them out along with the bar. He placed them on his shoulders and carried them off to the top of the hill that is near Chevron.
