Listen up Israel! Hashem is our god, Hashem is one god. You should love Hashem with all your heart, soul, and alotness. Listen to these commandments I am giving you today. Teach them to your children sharply and say it when you are sitting in your house, when your walking on a path, when you go to sleep, and when you wake up. Tie them as a reminder on your arm and a box on your head. Mark it on the door post of your house and on your gates.

Shema in a nutshell is the great powerful mitzvot that we surround our life around today. For example, all Jewish men put on tefillin every day. We also all see or kiss mezuzot on the daily. Shema is here to remind us of how these mitzvot are so important and how our life wouldn't be the same without them. If we didn't kiss the mezuzot or put on tefillin or teach Torah to our kids, then our life wouldn't be nearly as close to the power, spirit and purity that we feel today. Therefore, I think we should say the shema everyday and think about how lucky we are to be able to purify our day by being good Jews.
בכל מאדך- We should love hashem with all of our money, if a person loves their money more then their body, then you should serve hashem with anything that you think measures out to be more important. Anything that Hashem gives you, you should serve hashem with it, whether its good or bad. Just like what Dovid said: I raise my cup of victory to Hashem, and when I find trouble and sorrow, I call hashem.
אשר אנכי מצוך היום- It shouldn't be like "some old rule" from hashem, that nobody cares about. It should feel like its new, like everyone wants to greet it.
The translation of דיוטגמה is a decree from the king written in a letter.
ודברת בם- The main part of your speech should be Torah. You should talk about it most of the time because it is the most important thing in your life. Don't make Torah secondary. Don't put it in the back of your mind and tell yourself, "I'll do it later" Torah should be the focus of your conversation.
ה אלקנו ה- Dr. Stuart Halpern says that the number three is a very important number in the torah. For example, In shema there are three ways to refer to hashem in the first pasuk. This shows us that Hashem has many sides and can do many things but is one complete god. He says that anytime the number three appears in the torah it shows a deep transformative thought.
