How many mitzvot about Chametz and Matza are in these pasukim?
who must observe the rules?
what happens if one does not observe them?
what is the reason for the rules?
what is missing for you to be able to follow fully the instructions?
(5) These are the [grains] with which a person may discharge his [obligation to eat matsa] on Pesach: with wheat, with barley, with spelt, and with rye, and with oats.
Why do we learn the forbidden grains from the positive command of what we use to fulfill the mitzvah of eating Matzah?
Many commentators on the Torah say that Chametz is Idolotry, Ego, Evil inclinations within us, etc... The Natziv takes us in another direction entirely. He does so by reading the text very carefully. See if you can catch it.
What do you think of this interpretation? How can you fit this into a cyclical luach of the holidays in which Pesach is our first festival and purim our last holiday?
If the commandment to eat Matzah only applies to the first night, why can we not eat Chametz the rest of the Pesach?
