Justin: omg i bet the rabbi so thirsty doing all his speaking
Ayelet: omg f0r sure
Levi: omg my sermon will now be about hunger in the world, and specifically on the jewish holiday known as yom kippur, the day of atonement.

Justin: omg Ayelet, the rabbi turned into a pear, wait-you're an artichoke.
Ayelet: omg Justin snap out of it, you're not that hungry
Justin: omg I literally cannot see anything but food
Ayelet: omg i think im gonna have to take you home, lets go. We can make it up another time.

I do not know where we get our challah, but it is from some store. On Friday night my family has a Shabbat dinner and we do the bread prayer, and then we pass it around and eat it.

Berakhot 39b:9

In connection to the various halakhot with regard to breaking bread, especially on Festivals, the Gemara cites another halakha. Rabbi Abba said: And on Shabbat one is obligated to break bread for the meal over two loaves. What is the reason? Because in the Torah portion that discusses gathering manna on Friday for Shabbat, the phrase: “Twice as much bread” (Exodus 16:22) is written. To commemorate this, Shabbat meals are based on two loaves of bread.

Regarding blessings that do not conform to the formula instituted by the Sages, the Gemara relates that Binyamin the shepherd ate bread and afterward recited in Aramaic: Blessed is the Master of this bread. Rav said, he thereby fulfilled his obligation to recite a blessing. The Gemara objects: But didn’t Rav himself say: Any blessing that does not contain mention of God’s name is not considered a blessing? The Gemara emends the formula of his blessing. He said: Blessed is the All-Merciful, Master of this bread.

I believe that a prayer for our food should contain things about God in it. Maybe it doesn’t need to say Gods name, but it should talk about him because he is the one that creates our food and makes our Earth, and we need to acknowledge that.

Ayelet disagrees with justin. Ayelet thinks that prayers dont have to have g-d’s Name in it.
