The Misguided Pursuit of Happiness

Shemot 25:17-22

17And you shall make an ark cover of pure gold, two and a half cubits its length and a cubit and a half its width.
18And you shall make two golden cherubim; you shall make them of hammered work, from the two ends of the ark cover.
19And make one cherub from the one end and the other cherub from the other end; from the ark cover you shall make the cherubim on its two ends.
20The cherubim shall have their wings spread upwards, shielding the ark cover with their wings, with their faces toward one another; [turned] toward the ark cover shall be the faces of the cherubim.
21And you shall place the ark cover on the ark from above, and into the ark you shall place the testimony, which I will give you.
22I will arrange My meetings with you there, and I will speak with you from atop the ark cover from between the two cherubim that are upon the Ark of the Testimony, all that I will command you unto the children of Israel.

Bereishit 3:23-24

23And the Lord G-d sent him out of the Garden of Eden, to till the soil, whence he had been taken.
24And He drove the man out, and He stationed from the east of the Garden of Eden the cherubim and the blade of the revolving sword, to guard the way to the Tree of Life.

Bereishit 2:15-17

15Now the Lord G-d took the man, and He placed him in the Garden of Eden to work it and to guard it.
16And the Lord G-d commanded man, saying, "Of every tree of the garden you may freely eat.
17But of the Tree of Knowledge of good and evil you shall not eat of it, for on the day that you eat thereof, you shall surely die."

Where does Haman come from in the Torah? Hamin Heitz, [G-d asks Adam] “Did you eat from this Tree?”

Esther, 5:9-13

9And Haman went out on that day, happy and with a cheerful heart, but when Haman saw Mordecai in the king's gate, and he neither rose nor stirred because of him, Haman was filled with wrath against Mordecai.
10But Haman restrained himself, and he came home, and he sent and brought his friends and Zeresh his wife.
11And Haman recounted to them the glory of his riches and the multitude of his sons, and all [the ways] that the king had promoted him and that he had exalted him over the princes and the king's servants.
12And Haman said, "Esther did not even bring [anyone] to the party that she made, except me, and tomorrow, too, I am invited to her with the king.
13But all this is worth nothing to me, every time I see Mordecai the Jew sitting in the king's gate."

Likewise we find by cain, Korach, Bilaam, Doeg, Achitofel, Geichazi, Avshalom, Uzziahu, and Haman. They placed their sights on that which wasn’t theirs, What they sought was not given to them and what they already had was taken from them.
