(כד) ע֤וּרָה ׀ לָ֖מָּה תִישַׁ֥ן ׀ אדני הָ֝קִ֗יצָה אַל־תִּזְנַ֥ח לָנֶֽצַח׃
(24) Rouse Yourself; why do You sleep, O Lord? Awaken, do not reject us forever!
(א) וּבַחֹ֨דֶשׁ הַשְּׁבִיעִ֜י בְּאֶחָ֣ד לַחֹ֗דֶשׁ מִֽקְרָא־קֹ֙דֶשׁ֙ יִהְיֶ֣ה לָכֶ֔ם כׇּל־מְלֶ֥אכֶת עֲבֹדָ֖ה לֹ֣א תַעֲשׂ֑וּ י֥וֹם תְּרוּעָ֖ה יִהְיֶ֥ה לָכֶֽם׃
(1) In the seventh month, on the first day of the month, you shall observe a sacred occasion: you shall not work at your occupations. You shall observe it as a day when the horn is sounded.
(טז) אַשְׁרֵ֣י הָ֭עָם יֹדְעֵ֣י תְרוּעָ֑ה יהוה בְּֽאוֹר־פָּנֶ֥יךָ יְהַלֵּכֽוּן׃
(16) Happy is the people who know the joyful shout; O LORD, they walk in the light of Your presence.
(ז) (תהילים פ״ט:ט״ז) אַשְׁרֵי הָעָם יוֹדְעֵי תְרוּעָה וְגוֹ', לָא כְּתִיב שֹׁמְעֵי, אוֹ תּוֹקְעֵי תְרוּעָה, אֶלָּא יוֹדְעֵי תְרוּעָה. כגון חַכִּימִין דְּדַיְירִין בַּאֲוִירָא דְּאַרְעָא קַדִישָׁא, אִינּוּן יֹדְעֵי תְרוּעָה.
רָזָא דִּתְרוּעָה, כְּמָה דִּכְתִּיב, (תהילים ב׳:ט׳) תְּרוֹעֵם בְּשֵׁבֶט בַּרְזֶל. מַאן עַמָּא כְּיִשְׂרָאֵל, דְּיַדְעִין רָזִין עִלָאִין דְּמָארֵיהוֹן, לְמֵיעַל קַמֵּיהּ, וּלְאִתְקְּשַׁרָא בֵּיהּ. וְכָל אִינּוּן דְּיַדְעֵי רָזָא דִּתְרוּעָה, יִתְקָרְבוּן לְמֵיהַךְ בְּאוֹר פָּנָיו דְקוּדְשָׁא בְּרִיךְ הוּא. וְדָא אוֹר קַדְמָאָה דְּגָנִיז קוּדְשָׁא בְּרִיךְ הוּא לְצַדִּיקַיָּיא. וְעַל דָּא אִצְטְרִיךְ לְמִנְדַּע לָהּ.
רָזָא דִּתְרוּעָה, כְּמָה דִּכְתִּיב, (תהילים ב׳:ט׳) תְּרוֹעֵם בְּשֵׁבֶט בַּרְזֶל. מַאן עַמָּא כְּיִשְׂרָאֵל, דְּיַדְעִין רָזִין עִלָאִין דְּמָארֵיהוֹן, לְמֵיעַל קַמֵּיהּ, וּלְאִתְקְּשַׁרָא בֵּיהּ. וְכָל אִינּוּן דְּיַדְעֵי רָזָא דִּתְרוּעָה, יִתְקָרְבוּן לְמֵיהַךְ בְּאוֹר פָּנָיו דְקוּדְשָׁא בְּרִיךְ הוּא. וְדָא אוֹר קַדְמָאָה דְּגָנִיז קוּדְשָׁא בְּרִיךְ הוּא לְצַדִּיקַיָּיא. וְעַל דָּא אִצְטְרִיךְ לְמִנְדַּע לָהּ.
Happy is the people who know the teruah (blast), etc." (Psalms 89). It is not written "who hear" or "who blow the teruah," but rather "who know the teruah." such as the sages who dwell in the atmosphere of the Holy Land, these are the ones who know the teruah.
The secret of the teruah, as it is written (Psalms 2) "You shall break them with a rod of iron." Who is a people like Israel that knows the supernal secrets of their Master, to ascend before Him and connect with Him. And all those who know the secret of the teruah will draw near to walk in the light of the face of the Holy One, blessed be He. And this is the primordial light that the Holy One, blessed be He, concealed for the righteous. And concerning this, one must know it.
