First Aliyyah | עֲלִיָּה רִאשׁוֹנָה

After gathering the Israelites, Mosheh teaches them that God commanded them to work during the week but to stop work-like activities on the seventh day of the week. Observing Shabbat is one way to celebrate life and not to get distracted by technology and work; technology and work can distract us from the simpler joys of life. Starting a fire reminds us of how advanced humans are beyond other animals; no other animal lights fires. Shabbat reminds us that we are part of nature.
לַעֲשֹׂ֥ת אֹתָֽם׃ (ב) שֵׁ֣שֶׁת יָמִים֮ תֵּעָשֶׂ֣ה מְלָאכָה֒ וּבַיּ֣וֹם הַשְּׁבִיעִ֗י יִהְיֶ֨ה לָכֶ֥ם קֹ֛דֶשׁ שַׁבַּ֥ת שַׁבָּת֖וֹן לַיהֹוָ֑ה כׇּל־הָעֹשֶׂ֥ה ב֛וֹ מְלָאכָ֖ה יוּמָֽת׃ (ג) לֹא־תְבַעֲר֣וּ אֵ֔שׁ בְּכֹ֖ל מֹשְׁבֹֽתֵיכֶ֑ם בְּי֖וֹם הַשַּׁבָּֽת׃ {פ}
(1) Mosheh called all of the congregation of the children of Yisra'el to gather. He said to them, "These are the things that Adonai commanded to be done. (2) For six days, work is to be done, but on the seventh day there will be a holy thing: a Shabbat of stopping, for Adonai. Whoever performs work on it will not live.
(3) Do not light a fire in your homes during the day of Shabbat.

Second Aliyyah | עֲלִיָּה שְׁנִיָּה

The Israelites started collecting materials to donate so that there would be nice clothing for the כֹּהֲנִים (kohanim, "priests") to wear and a nice Ohel Mo'ed (אֹ֤הֶל מוֹעֵד֙, "Tent of Gathering") at the Mishkan (מִשְׁכָּן, "Tabernacle," a small-ish portable Temple). Israelites of every gender brought forth all sorts of gold donations. (We do not really know what the different types of golden jewelry are that get mentioned in this last verse. If you study a lot of Hebrew, you might be able to come back one day to teach us what you have learned about the different types of golden jewelry that the Israelites had.)
(20) The whole congregation of the children of Yisra'el left in front of Mosheh. (21) Every person whose heart uplifted them came. They brought everything that their spirit volunteered as an offering to Adonai, in service of the Ohel Mo'ed all of the worship there
, and all the holy clothing. (22) The men, alongside the women—everyone with a generous heart and anyone who would wave a golden offering for Adonai—brought forward this kind of nose-ring and that kind of nose-ring and this kind of ring and that kind of ring—
all kinds of golden items.

Third Aliyyah | עֲלִיָּה שְׁלִישִׁית

Not long after Betzal'el (בְּצַלְאֵל֮) and Oholi'av (אׇֽהֳלִיאָב֒) were assigned the task of taking all of the materials that the Israelites had dedicated toward constructing the Mishkan, the two artists had a realization: They had too many things! They eventually got Mosheh to pass on the word that the Israelites can stop giving gifts; it was time for Betzal'el and Oholi'av to get to work.
(ה) וַיֹּאמְרוּ֙ אֶל־מֹשֶׁ֣ה לֵּאמֹ֔ר מַרְבִּ֥ים הָעָ֖ם לְהָבִ֑יא מִדֵּ֤י הָֽעֲבֹדָה֙ לַמְּלָאכָ֔ה אֲשֶׁר־צִוָּ֥ה יְהֹוָ֖ה לַעֲשֹׂ֥ת אֹתָֽהּ׃ (ו) וַיְצַ֣ו מֹשֶׁ֗ה וַיַּעֲבִ֨ירוּ ק֥וֹל בַּֽמַּחֲנֶה֮ לֵאמֹר֒ אִ֣ישׁ וְאִשָּׁ֗ה אַל־יַעֲשׂוּ־ע֛וֹד מְלָאכָ֖ה לִתְרוּמַ֣ת הַקֹּ֑דֶשׁ וַיִּכָּלֵ֥א הָעָ֖ם מֵהָבִֽיא׃ (ז) וְהַמְּלָאכָ֗ה הָיְתָ֥ה דַיָּ֛ם לְכׇל־הַמְּלָאכָ֖ה לַעֲשׂ֣וֹת אֹתָ֑הּ וְהוֹתֵֽר׃ {ס}
(5) They said to Mosheh, "The nation is bringing too much, far more than what Adonai had commanded for making our worship possible." (6)
Mosheh commanded. They sent out a loud message in the camp saying, "No man or woman should do any further work for donating for the holy cause!" The nation stopped bringing things.
(7) The work had been enough and then some, compared to the work that was supposed to be done.
