כָּךְ בְּכָל יוֹם וָיוֹם הָעֶלְיוֹנִים מַכְתִּירִין לְהַקָּדוֹשׁ בָּרוּךְ הוּא שָׁלשׁ קְדֻשּׁוֹת.
מָה הַקָּדוֹשׁ בָּרוּךְ הוּא עוֹשֶׂה?
נוֹתֵן בְּרֹאשׁוֹ אַחַת
וּשְׁתַּיִם בְּרֹאשָׁן שֶׁל יִשְׂרָאֵל.
הֲדָא הוּא דִכְתִיב: דַּבֵּר אֶל כָּל עֲדַת בְּנֵי יִשְׂרָאֵל קְדשִׁים תִּהְיוּ, וְהִתְקַדִּשְׁתֶּם וִהְיִיתֶם קְדשִׁים.
Thus each day the exalted ones [i.e., the heavenly beings, angels] wreath the
blessed Holy One with three "holies," as it says: "Holy, holy, holy."
What does the Holy One do?
He places one upon His head and two upon the heads of Israel,
as Scripture says: "Speak unto the entire congregation of the Children of Israel saying
'You shall be holy for I the Lord your God am holy. Sanctify yourselves and be
holy.'" (Lev. 19:1-2)
