Israeli Citizenship

You shall allot it as a heritage for yourselves and for the strangers who reside among you, who have begotten children among you. You shall treat them as Israelite citizens; they shall receive allotments along with you among the tribes of Israel.

Thus said the Sovereign GOD: Enough, princes of Israel! Make an end of lawlessness and rapine, and do what is right and just! Put a stop to your evictions of My people—declares the Sovereign GOD.

Berathah, Sibraim—which lies between the border of Damascus and the border of Hamath—[down to] Hazer-hatticon, which is on the border of Hauran.

Thus the boundary shall run from the Sea to Hazar-enon, to the north of the territory of Damascus, with the territory of Hamath to the north of it. That shall be the northern limit.

These are the boundaries of the land:
As the northern limit: From the Great Sea by way of Hethlon, Lebo-hamath, Zedad,

As the eastern limit: A line between Hauran and Damascus, and between Gilead and the land of Israel: with the Jordan as a boundary, you shall measure down to the Eastern Sea. That shall be the eastern limit.

The southern limit shall run: A line from Tamar to the Waters of Meribath-kadesh, along the Wadi [of Egypt and] the Great Sea. That is the southern limit.

And as the western limit: The Great Sea shall be the boundary up to a point opposite Lebo-hamath. That shall be the western limit.

Instruct the Israelite people and say to them: When you enter the land of Canaan, this is the land that shall fall to you as your portion, the land of Canaan with its various boundaries:

But you hate good and love evil.

Someday they shall cry out to GOD,
But they will not be answered;
At that time the divine face will be hidden,
In accordance with the wrongs they have done.

Thus said GOD to the prophets
Who lead My people astray,
Who cry “Peace!”
When they have something to chew,
But launch a war on those
Who fail to fill their mouths:

Indeed, many nations
Have assembled against you
Who think, “Let our eye
Obscenely gaze on Zion.”

But they do not know
GOD’s design,
They do not divine the intent:
They have been gathered
Like cut grain to the threshing floor.

Hear what GOD is saying:
Come, present [My] case before the mountains,
And let the hills hear you pleading.

“My people,
Remember what Balak king of Moab
Plotted against you,
And how Balaam son of Beor
Responded to him.
[Recall your passage]
From Shittim to Gilgal —
And you will recognize
GOD’s gracious acts.”

With what shall I approach GOD,
Do homage to God on high?
Shall I approach with burnt offerings,
With calves a year old?
