Shtiebel 929 Amos 5
(4) Thus said GOD
To the House of Israel:
Seek Me, and you will live.

Discussion Questions:

  • How does one seek God? Where does one look?
  • How does one know they are seeking God in the right directions?
    • How do you know if you are seeking in the right/wrong directions?
    • What would it look like to seek God in the wrong places?
  • Do you need to know where you are to seek? How do you know where you are?
  • What is the difference between what mortals hide and what God hides?

Also:

How do you understand the call to seek?

Why do you seek?

What do you seek?

Where do you seek

Do you need to know where you are to seek?

How do you know where you are?

When are you sought?

Can people seek God by different means?

What do you hide?

(23) Spare Me the sound of your hymns,
And let Me not hear the music of your lutes.
(24) But let justice well up like water,
Righteousness like an unfailing stream.
