(כו) וַיֹּ֣אמֶר אֱלֹהִ֔ים נַֽעֲשֶׂ֥ה אָדָ֛ם בְּצַלְמֵ֖נוּ כִּדְמוּתֵ֑נוּ וְיִרְדּוּ֩ בִדְגַ֨ת הַיָּ֜ם וּבְע֣וֹף הַשָּׁמַ֗יִם וּבַבְּהֵמָה֙ וּבְכׇל־הָאָ֔רֶץ וּבְכׇל־הָרֶ֖מֶשׂ הָֽרֹמֵ֥שׂ עַל־הָאָֽרֶץ׃(כז) וַיִּבְרָ֨א אֱלֹהִ֤ים ׀ אֶת־הָֽאָדָם֙ בְּצַלְמ֔וֹ בְּצֶ֥לֶם אֱלֹהִ֖ים בָּרָ֣א אֹת֑וֹ זָכָ֥ר וּנְקֵבָ֖ה בָּרָ֥א אֹתָֽם׃
(26) And God said, “Let us make humankind in our image, after our likeness. They shall rule the fish of the sea, the birds of the sky, the cattle, the whole earth, and all the creeping things that creep on earth.”
(27) And God created humankind in the divine image,
creating it in the image of God—
creating them male and female.
אמר רבא אי בעו צדיקי ברו עלמא שנאמר כי עונותיכם היו מבדילים וגו'רבא ברא גברא שדריה לקמיה דר' זירא הוה קא משתעי בהדיה ולא הוה קא מהדר ליה אמר ליה מן חבריא את הדר לעפריך
Rava says: If the righteous wish to do so, they can create a world, as it is stated in Isaiah 59:2: “But your iniquities have separated between you and your God.” Rava created a man. Hesent his creation before Rabbi Zeira. Rabbi Zeira would speak to him but he would not reply. Rabbi Zeira said to him: You were created by one of the members of the group, one of the Sages. Return to your dust.
שאמרו בילקוט ראובני (פרשת בראשית) כי בן סירא עשה גולם על ידי צרופי אותיות א"ב ובא ירמיה הנביא ע"ה והוכיחו! והשיב לו בן סירא כבר נברא ומה אעשה? אמר לו ירמיה הנביא ע"ה תן דעתיה לכוין כל הצרופים שעשית לאחור בדרך תשר"ק ואז יחזור לעפרו, וכן עשה.
It is said in Yalkut Reuveni that ben Sira made a Golem by connecting the letters Alef-Bet. Jeremiah the prophet (of blessed memory) came and rebuked him. Ben Sira replied: "It's already created. What can I do?" Jeremiah said, give your thought to the direction of the letters you created, to reverse them, in the manner of Tav-Shin-Resh-Kuf, and it will return to dust. And so he did.
