Why does it say אני יהוה אלהיכם twice in the last pasuk of the Parsha ויאמר in Shema?It’s hinting to the concept, and the verse, אני ראשון ואני אחרון ומבעלדי אין אלהים. “I am the first and I am the last and other than me, there’s no other G-d.The middle phrase actually nicely parallels the concept of “I took you out of Egypt to be a G-d for you.”
Either because this was the revelation by going out of Egypt or because leaving Egypt was for the purpose of receiving the Torah with the statement אנכי יהוה אלהיך - I am Hashem, your G-d. Or, as a closer parallel to the verse in ישעי׳, the second commandment, “don’t have any G-d’s other than me” closely resembles “and there is no אלהים other than me.
(Notice also how this concept fits into the word אמת, being the first, middle and last letters of the אלף-בית, corresponding nicely to “I am the first and last and other than me (in the middle) there’s no other…”)
