"And the Lord took us out of Egypt with a strong hand and with an outstretched forearm and with great awe and with signs and with wonders" (Deuteronomy 26:8).

"With a strong hand" - this [refers to] the pestilence, ... "And with an outstretched forearm" - this [refers to] the sword,... "And with great awe" - this [refers to the revelation of] the Divine Presence, ... "And with signs" - this [refers to] the staff, ..." And with wonders" - this [refers to] the blood, ...

"And with wonders" - this [refers to] the blood, as it is stated (Joel 3:3); "And I will place my wonders in the skies and in the earth:....

Another [explanation]:

"With a strong hand" [corresponds to] two [plagues]; "and with an outstretched forearm" [corresponds to] two [plagues]; "and with great awe" [corresponds to] two [plagues]; "and with signs" [corresponds to] two [plagues]; "and with wonders" [corresponds to] two [plagues].

(1) After that,
I will pour out My spirit on all flesh;
Your sons and daughters shall prophesy;
Your old men shall dream dreams,
And your young men shall see visions. (2) I will even pour out My spirit
Upon male and female slaves in those days.
(3) Before the great and terrible day of the LORD comes,^-a
I will set portents in the sky and on earth:
Blood and fire and pillars of smoke; (4) The sun shall turn into darkness
And the moon into blood.

Rabbi Yehoshua says: ...in Nisan the Jewish people were redeemed from Egypt; and in Nisan in the future the Jewish people will be redeemed in the final redemption.

"This is my G d and I will extol Him": R. Eliezer says: Whence is it derived that a maid-servant beheld at the Red Sea what was not beheld by Ezekiel and the other prophets, of whom it is written (Hoshea 12:11) "And to the prophets I appeared (in various) guises," and (Ezekiel 1:1) "The heavens opened and I saw visions of G d"? An analogy: A king of flesh and blood comes to a province, a circle of guards around him, warriors at his right and at his left, armies before him and behind him — and all asking "Who is the king?" For he is flesh and blood as they are. But when the Holy One was revealed at the sea, there was no need for anyone to ask "Who is the King?" For when they saw Him, they knew Him, and they all opened and said "This is my G d, and I will extol Him ("ve'anvehu," lit.: "I will 'host' Him")!"...

(6) Pour/שפוך out Your fury on the nations that do not know You,
upon the kingdoms that do not invoke Your name, (7) for they have devoured Jacob
and desolated/השמו his home.

(19) Egypt shall be a desolation,
And Edom a desolate waste/שממה,
Because of the outrage to the people of Judah,
In whose land they shed/שפכו the blood of the innocent.
