שֶׁהֶחֱזַרְתָּ בִּי נִשְׁמָתִי בְּחֶמְלָה,

רַבָּה אֱמוּנָתֶךָ:

The essence of who I am is conceding the essence of You (Hashem) and thanking You for returning my Neshama to me.

When waking up in the morning, before doing anything, we make sure to acknowledge that G-d is the ultimate truth and He does everything for us.

Thanking Hashem For Giving Us

A G-dly Soul

My G-d, the soul which You have given to my nefesh habahamis

It was pure- it was one with You

You separated it from YourselfBefore it was brought into this world it felt like it was part of Hashem but now it feels like a separate creation

You gave it an identity

You blew my soul into my physical body

And you are guarding it inside me so that it doesn't leave me and go back to shamayim, its source

And in the future, at the time of my passing, You will take it from me

And You will return it to me in the future to come - Moshiach

Thanking Hashem For Taking Care Of Our Basic Daily NeedsBlessed are you, Hashem, our G-d and king of the world, who gave us the ability to differentiate between good and bad

Blessed are you, Hashem, our G-d and king of the world, who makes good and bad so tangible that we are able to see and sense it.

Blessed are you, Hashem, our G-d and king of the world, who gave us the ability to not be controlled and limited by our desires and addictions.

Blessed are you, Hashem, our G-d and king of the world, whogave us the Mitzvos so that we could express our Neshama (our eternal connection to G-d).

Blessed are you, Hashem, our G-d and king of the world, for giving life to our Neshama by giving us Torah and Mitzvos.

Blessed are you, Hashem, our G-d and king of the world, for making one Mitzvah done in the physical world even more valuable than the spiritual worlds.

Blessed are you, Hashem, our G-d and king of the world, for guiding me and helping me do the right thing.

Blessed are you, Hashem, our G-d and king of the world, for providing me with all my needs.

Blessed are you, Hashem, our G-d and king of the world, who girds Israel with strength.

Blessed are you, Hashem, our G-d and king of the world, who crowns the Jewish people with beauty.

Blessed are you, Hashem, our G-d and king of the world, for the opportunity to be able to connect to a G-d that is infinitely beyond us.

Blessed are you, Hashem, our G-d and king of the world, that our Neshama is free to do what it truly wants to do - Mitzvos - without anything holding it back.

Blessed are you, Hashem, our G-d and king of the world, Men say: who did not make me a woman. Women say: who made me according to His will.

Blessed are you, Hashem, our G-d and king of the world, who removes sleep from my eyes, and slumber from my pupils.

Asking Hashem To Help Us

Follow In His Ways

And may it be pleasing before You, Hashem our G-d and the G-d of our forefathers, that you make us accustomed in your Torah, and make us stick to your commandments. And that You do not bring us not to the hands of sin, nor to the hands of transgression and wrongdoing, nor to the hands of trial, and nor to the hands of scorn. And let not the evil inclination rule inside us, and distance us from a bad person and a bad friend. And stick us to the good inclination and to good deeds, and force our inclination to be subdued to You. And grant us today and every day grace and kindness and mercy, in your eyes an in the eyes of all who see us, and reward us with good kindnesses. Blessed are You, Hashem, who rewards good kindnesses upon His nation, Israel.

We are asking G-d to help us do the right thing and bless us in return.

May it be pleasing before You, Hashem my G-d and the G-d of my forefathers, that save us today and every day from those who are arrogant and from arrogance itself, from a bad person, a bad friend, a bad neighbor, a bad strike, from the destructive Satan, from a harsh law and from a harsh judge, whether he is a son of the covenant or whether he is not a son of the covenant.

We are asking G-d to save us from all bad and evil.

Why are we thanking Hashem for the Torah during Davening? The reason why is because Davening is when we connect to Hashem, and the Torah is like a personal letter from Him. We are grateful for the Torah because it is our eternal connection to Hashem.

Thanking Hashem For

The Gift Of Torah

We're asking Hashem that our Torah learning should be sweet and pleasurable - we should want to learn Torah לִשְׁמָהּ - for the sake of strengthening our connection to Him.

We're thanking Hashem for choosing us to give the Torah to. And the Torah is not just an old book - it is eternally relevant to us, Hashem's chosen nation, and it serves as a guide for our everyday lives.

I hereby take upon myself to fulfill the miztvah, "love your fellow as yourself".

Just like all Jews are connected spiritually and are like all the organs needed to form a body. When we love each other like ourselves, we give Hashem the satisfaction that a father would have seeing his children united.

Proclaiming Hashem As Ruler

Of The World

The king of the world, who ruled before any creature was created

-represents the time before creation.

At the time they were made, all was according to His will, and then His name was called "King".

- represents the present era.

And after everything was finished, he alone ruled, awe-inspiring

- represents the future when Moshiach will come.

He was, He is, and He will be with splendor. And, he was first, with no second, to rule over him or to collaborate;

with no beginning and no end, he has the strength and the right.

And he is my G-d, my redeemer is alive; the rock who sustains me in a distressful day.

And he is my banner and refuge, the portion of my cup on the day I call out.

In his hand, I safeguard my spirit, [for] when I sleep, [I know that] I will wake.

And with my spirit is my body; G-d is for me, and I will not be afraid. Even if we have reason to be afraid (we're not always perfect spiritually), fear isn't the appropriate response. We should have trust in Hashem that He will help us and do only good.

Unquestioning Obedience Is The Ultimate Devotion To Hashem

Some time afterward, God put Abraham to the test. He said to him, “Abraham,” and he answered, “Here I am.”And He said, “Take your son, your favored one, Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the heights that I will point out to you.” So early next morning, Abraham saddled his donkey and took with him two of his servants and his son Isaac. He split the wood for the burnt offering, and he set out for the place of which God had told him. On the third day Abraham looked up and saw the place from afar. Then Abraham said to his servants, “You stay here with the ass. The boy and I will go up there; we will worship and we will return to you.” Abraham took the wood for the burnt offering and put it on his son Isaac. He himself took the firestone and the knife; and the two walked off together. Then Isaac said to his father Abraham, “Father!” And he answered, “Yes, my son.” And he said, “Here are the firestone and the wood; but where is the sheep for the burnt offering?” And Abraham said, “God will see to the sheep for His burnt offering, my son.” And the two of them walked on together. They arrived at the place of which God had told him. Abraham built an altar there; he laid out the wood; he bound his son Isaac; he laid him on the altar, on top of the wood. And Abraham picked up the knife to slay his son. Then an angel of the LORD called to him from heaven: “Abraham! Abraham!” And he answered, “Here I am.” And he said, “Do not raise your hand against the boy, or do anything to him. For now I know that you fear God, since you have not withheld your son, your favored one, from Me.” When Abraham looked up, his eye fell upon a ram, caught in the thicket by its horns. So Abraham went and took the ram and offered it up as a burnt offering in place of his son. And Abraham named that site Adonai-yireh, whence the present saying, “On the mount of the LORD there is vision.” The angel of the LORD called to Abraham a second time from heaven, and said, “By Myself I swear, the LORD declares: Because you have done this and have not withheld your son, your favored one, I will bestow My blessing upon you and make your descendants as numerous as the stars of heaven and the sands on the seashore; and your descendants shall seize the gates of their foes. All the nations of the earth shall bless themselves by your descendants, because you have obeyed My command.” Abraham then returned to his servants, and they departed together for Beer-sheba; and Abraham stayed in Beer-sheba.

(undefined) May the glory of the Lord be forever; may the Lord rejoice in His works. Blessed be the name of the Lord for all time. From the rising of the sun to its setting let the Lord's name be praised. High above all nations is the Lord; above the heavens is His glory. O Lord, Your name is forever; O Lord, Your fame is through all generations. The Lord has set up his throne in the heavens, and his kingdom rules over all. Let the heavens rejoice, let the earth exult, and let them say among the nations, "The Lord is King!" The Lord is King, the Lord was King, the Lord shall be King for all time. The Lord is King for evermore; the heathen have vanished from his land. The Lord annuls the counsel of nations; He foils the plans of peoples. Many are the plans in man's heart, but it is the Lord's purpose that shall stand. The Lord's purpose stands forever; His plans are through all generations. For He spoke, and the world came into being; He commanded, and it stood firm. Surely the Lord has chosen Zion; He has desired it for His habitation. Surely, the Lord has chosen Jacob to be His, and Israel as His prized possession. Surely, the Lord will not abandon His people, nor forsake His heritage. He, being merciful, forgives iniquity, and does not destroy; frequently He turns his anger away, and does not stir up all His wrath. O Lord, save us; may the King answer us when we call.

(undefined) Praised are You, Lord our God King of the universe, who with wisdom fashioned the human body, creating openings, arteries, glands and organs, marvelous in structure, intricate in design. Should but one of them, by being blocked or opened, fail to function, it would be impossible to exist. Praised are you, Lord, healer of all flesh who sustains our bodies in wondrous ways.
