May I Be Empty by Batya Levine
May I be empty
And open to receive the light
May I be empty
And open to receive
May I be full
And open to receive the light
May I be full
And open to receive

Psalm 59:17-18

Va'ani ashir uzekha

V'aranein labokeir hasdekha,

Ki hayita misgav li,

U'manos l'yom tzar li.

Uzi Eilekha Azameirah

Translation of Psalm 59:17-18
Music by Rabbi Josh Warshawsky
I will sing Your strength
Extol each morning Your lovingkindness
For you have been my haven
And my refuge in my time of trouble
To You, O My Strength, I will sing

Ilu finu male shirah kayam.

Let us have songs to fill our mouths as full as the sea.
The words above are from a traditional Hebrew poem.
Music by Rabbi Miriam Margles

Psalm 126

Shir Hama'alot,
B'shuv Adonai et shivat tziyon

Az Y'male s'chok peenu ulshoneinu rina.
Az yom'ru vagoyim

Shuva Adonai et shiviteinu ka'afikim banegev.

bo yavo v'rinah noseh alumotav.

Translation of Psalm 126
Music by Joey Weisenberg
When the Divine returned the captives of Zion, we were like people in a dream. Then was our mouth filled with laughter, and our tongue with exultation: then said they among the nations, The Divine has done great things for them. The Divine has done great things for us; so we rejoiced! Bring back our captives, O Holy One, as the streams in the south. They that sow in tears shall reap in joy. Though he goes on his way weeping, bearing the store of seed, they shall come back with joy, bearing their sheaves.
