וְ֠אֵ֠ת עֲשֶׂ֜רֶת חֲרִצֵ֤י הֶחָלָב֙ הָאֵ֔לֶּה תָּבִ֖יא לְשַׂר־הָאָ֑לֶף וְאֶת־אַחֶ֙יךָ֙ תִּפְקֹ֣ד לְשָׁל֔וֹם וְאֶת־עֲרֻבָּתָ֖ם תִּקָּֽח׃
Take these ten cheeses to the captain of their thousand. Find out how your brothers are and bring some token from them.”
לא יהיה. עוד בני בעולם וכן ת"י לא יתקיימון אבל שאר המקרא לא תרגם כך וכן נראה בעיני ושמעתי בו לשונות רבים וראיתי בספרי פתרונות ולא נתיישבו לי והפייט שיסד בחנוכה (בשבת ראשונה ביוצר) המואסת כל עץ הדקיר המזנה מסייעני שקרא את החרב מואסת כל עץ ויונתן כן תרגם או נשיש וגו' על דחדיאו שבטיא דבית יהודה ובנימין לשבטי דישראל כד גלו על דפלחו לטעוותא ותבו אינון למטעי בתר צלמי אעיא אף הוא מפרש או נשיש לשון תמיהא:
He will not be My son will no longer be in the world. Jonathan also rendered it “they will not exist,” but the rest of the verse he did not render in this [i.e., Rashi’s] way, but so it appears to me. He, too, explains אוֹ נָשִׂישׂ as a rhetorical question.
וַיִּשְׁכַּ֥ב אַמְנ֖וֹן וַיִּתְחָ֑ל וַיָּבֹ֨א הַמֶּ֜לֶךְ לִרְאוֹת֗וֹ וַיֹּ֨אמֶר אַמְנ֤וֹן אֶל־הַמֶּ֙לֶךְ֙ תָּבוֹא־נָ֞א תָּמָ֣ר אֲחֹתִ֗י וּתְלַבֵּ֤ב לְעֵינַי֙ שְׁתֵּ֣י לְבִב֔וֹת וְאֶבְרֶ֖ה מִיָּדָֽהּ׃
Amnon lay down and pretended to be sick. The king came to see him, and Amnon said to the king, “Let my sister Tamar come and prepare a couple of cakes in front of me, and let her bring them to me.”
וַיִּשְׁלַ֥ח דָּוִ֛ד אֶל־תָּמָ֖ר הַבַּ֣יְתָה לֵאמֹ֑ר לְכִ֣י נָ֗א בֵּ֚ית אַמְנ֣וֹן אָחִ֔יךְ וַעֲשִׂי־ל֖וֹ הַבִּרְיָֽה׃
David sent a message to Tamar in the palace, “Please go to the house of your brother Amnon and prepare some food for him.”
ותלבב. ותחלוט, סולת מורבכת במים רותחין תחלה, ואחר כך בשמן:
She made a paste. She made a paste of flour mixed [it] first into boiling water and afterwords in oil.
