My Favorite Day, Today!
Moshe's Last Day

(9) Ye are standing this day all of you before the LORD your God: your heads, your tribes, your elders, and your officers, even all the men of Israel,

Bear Bryant, A college football coach had this to say, about a day.

This is the beginning of a new day.

God has given me this day to use as I will.

I can waste it or use it for good.

What I do today is very important because I am Exchanging a day of my life for it.

When tomorrow comes, this day will be gone forever.

Leaving something in its place I have traded for it.

I want it to be a gain, not loss - good, not evil.

Success, not failure in order that I shall not forget the price I paid for it.

"This day" is a reference to Rosh Hashanah, the day on which we all stand in judgment before G-d (the Torah reading of Nitzavim is always read on the Shabbat before Rosh Hashanah).

(Rabbi Israel Baal Shem Tov)

Rosh Hashanah

(6) Now it fell upon a day, that the sons of God came to present themselves before the LORD, and Satan came also among them.

Kiddushin 49b- notes that a woman is innately more of a communicator, by teaching us that, “Ten measures of speech descended to the world and women took nine measures of speech.”
