חֲנֹךְ לַנַּעַר עַל פִּי דַרְכּוֹ גַּם כִּי יַזְקִין לֹא יָסוּר מִמֶּנָּה.

חנוך לנער על פי דרכו. ר' אליעזר ור' יהושע, ר' אליעזר אומר אם חנכת בנך עד שהוא נער בדברי תורה הוא מתגדל בהם והולך, שנאמרגם כי יזקין לא יסור ממנה. ור' יהושע אומר כהדא תורתא דלא יליפא רדיא ומתקשיא עלה בסופא, וכהדא עוברתא דכרמא דאית לה אתר כי אתאעד דהיא רטיבא, וכדקשיא ליה אי
את יכיל לה.
Educate a child according to his way.
