We are going to examine instances of Midah K'neged Midah in the Bible and discuss how this could impact our lives.
This is obvious, for the Holy One, blessed be God, repays measure for measure (Sanhedrin 90a). Thus God who has mercy and does kindness with others, will also be shown mercy when God is judged and pardoned of God's sins with kindliness. For such pardoning is justice, since it corresponds measure for measure to his practice. This is what our sages, of blessed memory, taught: "who is forgiven iniquity? the one who overlooks transgression [committed against themselves]" (Rosh Hashana 17a).
(10) (Hail the just person, for they shall fare well; They shall eat the fruit of his works. (11) Woe to the wicked man, for they shall fare ill; As their hands have dealt, so shall it be done to them.)
(6) [Hillell] saw a skull that was floating on top of the water. He said (to it): "Since you drowned [others, others] drowned you. And in the end, those that drowned you will be drowned.

(31) Then they took Joseph’s tunic, slaughtered a kid, and dipped the tunic in the blood. (32) They had the ornamented tunic taken to their father, and they said, “We found this. Please examine it (haker-na); is it your son’s tunic or not?”
(25) As she (Tamar) was being brought out, she sent this message to her father-in-law (Judah), “It’s by the man to whom these belong that I’m pregnant.” And she added, “Examine these (haker-na): whose seal and cord and staff are these?”
Can they have the same result?
Is this concept relevant in our life?
