How do I enable the Emoji Megillah on the app?
- Click on any verse in the book of Esther to open the resource panel.
- Click on "Translations".
- Select "Emoji Megillah" under "English" if you would like to change the English translation to emoji. If you would like to also change the Hebrew text, scroll further and select "Emoji Megillah" under "Hebrew".
- Click on the emoji text in the bottom portion of the screen and select "Open Version".
- Please note: You can change the Hebrew and English texts independently.
How do I enable the Emoji Megillah on the website?
Note: The Hebrew and English are found in two different places but the process is the same for both. You can mix and match your texts.
- Click on any verse in the book of Esther to open the resource panel.
- Click on "About this Text" for the Hebrew Emoji Megillah and "Translations" for the English Emoji Megillah.
- Select "Emoji Megillah".
How do I turn on the grogger on the app?
- The grogger is only available on the app.
- The grogger is automatically added and removed. It is available a few days before Purim and remains until a few days after Purim. This makes it available to everyone, regardless of when they celebrate Purim (regular Purim or Shushan Purim).
- In order to hear the grogger, your phone's media volume must be turned up. The media volume can be found in your phone's settings, under "Sound". Note that media volume is not the same as ring volume.
Can I turn off the grogger?
Yes! Tap "Account" in the Navigation Bar and open "Settings". Toggle "Grogger" to "Off".
How do I use the grogger?
Shake, shake, shake! Shaking your phone will turn on the grogger. The grogger stops by itself.
