Common problems that we can help with:
I accidentally made a recurring donation
We apologize for any confusion in making a donation. To cancel the recurring donation, please email our development team at [email protected]. If necessary, we’re happy to refund any accidental donations incurred during this time.
I made a donation by accident
To receive a donation refund, email [email protected] with the donation date and amount. Our team will be in touch with you about refunding your donation.
I would like to change my monthly donation amount
To protect your security, Sefaria is not able to update your donation amount. In order to change your donation amount, Sefaria's development team will need to cancel your current recurring gift. To proceed, please contact [email protected] with your donation information. We do not store donors' credit card information, so once we cancel your donation, you will need to reinstate it here with the changed amount or credit card information.
I need to update the credit card associated with my recurring donation
To protect your security, Sefaria is not able to update the credit card information associated with your donation. In order to change your credit card Sefaria's development team will need to cancel your current recurring gift - please contact [email protected] with relevant information. We do not store donors' credit card information, so once we cancel your donation, you will need to reinstate it here with the changed amount or credit card information.
I never received a donation receipt
We apologize for any inconvenience.
  • If you donated online, occasionally, spam filters block our e-receipts from being delivered. Please check your inbox and spam for an email from [email protected] confirming your donation amount and providing relevant tax language. If you cannot track it down, contact [email protected] and we will issue you a new one.
  • If you made your donation by check or wire transfer, your donation receipt may be in the mail. Due to the ongoing pandemic, we are experiencing delays in check and acknowledgement letter processing resulting in slower-than-usual send times. If you never received an acknowledgement letter by mail, please contact [email protected] and we can mail or email you a new one.
