Bless Adonoy Who is blessed.
Blessed is Adonoy, Who is blessed forever and ever.
Through speech suggests Rabbi Hayyim of Volozhyn People can "call forth the Divine flow of the blessing". We can evoke what would otherwise have remained only latent, unrealized, unfulfilled. We cannot to be sure put something there that was not already there but we can bring something into reality that was only hitherto a possibility. (L. Kushner and N. When God began to create heaven and earth— the earth being unformed and void, with darkness over the surface of the deep and a wind from God sweeping over the water— God said, “Let there be light”; and there was light. God saw that the light was good, and God separated the light from the darkness. God called the light Day, and the darkness He called Night. And there was evening and there was morning, a first day.
יוֹצֵ֥ר אוֹר֙ וּבוֹרֵ֣א חֹ֔שֶׁךְ עֹשֶׂ֥ה שָׁל֖וֹם וּב֣וֹרֵא רָ֑ע אֲנִ֥י ה׳ עֹשֶׂ֥ה כׇל־אֵֽלֶּה׃ {פ}
I form light and create darkness,
I make peace and create woe—

ובורא חשך. מגזרת בריאה כטעם גזירה, כי החשך איננו כלום רק העדר האור:
ובורא חשךAnd causethdarkness.ברא has here the same meaning as גזר to decree; for darkness is nothing by itself, it is but the absence of light.
ובורא רע. ואמר על אור ושלום יוצר ועשה כי הם מעשה ועל חשך ורע אמר בורא כי אינה דבר כי הסרת האור היא החשך, והסרת הטוב והשלום הוא רע:
And it he said regarding light and peace - to form and to do and regarding darkness and woe he said בורא (creates) because the removal of light is the darkness and the removal of goodness and peace is woe.
