Rav Aviner: To sing to Hashem is to going beyond the emotional, and beyond the intellectual. It is to look at matters through a deep place of great light.
(19) Now therefore write ye this song for you, and teach thou it the children of Israel; put it in their mouths, that this song may be a witness for Me against the children of Israel.
R' Aviner: Zimrah expresses my emotions. It fills me up. It brings life to me!
We start off with שירה. We start off with a broad perspective , which brings us to זמר, which is feeling of the soul, which penetrates deep into my personality. And this leads us to the 3rd stage which is to שיחו לו, to speak of his wonders.
If the world is full of his wonders how is it hat many people don't see the wonders of Hashem? Because they don't speak of his wonders! Why? Because they don't have the זמרו לו feeling that the world is wonderful! Why don't have this feeling? Because they don't have the שירו לו, broader perspective.
