(א) מַדּ֗וּעַ מִ֭שַּׁדַּי לֹא־נִצְפְּנ֣וּ עִתִּ֑ים וְ֝יֹדְעָ֗ו לֹא־חָ֥זוּ יָמָֽיו׃ (ב) גְּבֻל֥וֹת יַשִּׂ֑יגוּ עֵ֥דֶר גָּ֝זְל֗וּ וַיִּרְעֽוּ׃ (ג) חֲמ֣וֹר יְתוֹמִ֣ים יִנְהָ֑גוּ יַ֝חְבְּל֗וּ שׁ֣וֹר אַלְמָנָֽה׃ (ד) יַטּ֣וּ אֶבְיֹנִ֣ים מִדָּ֑רֶךְ יַ֥חַד חֻ֝בְּא֗וּ עֲנִיֵּי־אָֽרֶץ׃ (ה) הֵ֤ן פְּרָאִ֨ים ׀ בַּ֥מִּדְבָּ֗ר יָצְא֣וּ בְּ֭פׇעֳלָם מְשַׁחֲרֵ֣י לַטָּ֑רֶף עֲרָבָ֥ה ל֥וֹ לֶ֝֗חֶם לַנְּעָרִֽים׃ (ו) בַּ֭שָּׂדֶה בְּלִיל֣וֹ (יקצירו) [יִקְצ֑וֹרוּ] וְכֶ֖רֶם רָשָׁ֣ע יְלַקֵּֽשׁוּ׃ (ז) עָר֣וֹם יָ֭לִינוּ מִבְּלִ֣י לְב֑וּשׁ וְאֵ֥ין כְּ֝ס֗וּת בַּקָּרָֽה׃ (ח) מִזֶּ֣רֶם הָרִ֣ים יִרְטָ֑בוּ וּֽמִבְּלִ֥י מַ֝חְסֶ֗ה חִבְּקוּ־צֽוּר׃ (ט) יִ֭גְזְלוּ מִשֹּׁ֣ד יָת֑וֹם וְֽעַל־עָנִ֥י יַחְבֹּֽלוּ׃ (י) עָר֣וֹם הִ֭לְּכוּ בְּלִ֣י לְב֑וּשׁ וּ֝רְעֵבִ֗ים נָ֣שְׂאוּ עֹֽמֶר׃ (יא) בֵּין־שׁוּרֹתָ֥ם יַצְהִ֑ירוּ יְקָבִ֥ים דָּ֝רְכ֗וּ וַיִּצְמָֽאוּ׃ (יב) מֵ֘עִ֤יר מְתִ֨ים ׀ יִנְאָ֗קוּ וְנֶֽפֶשׁ־חֲלָלִ֥ים תְּשַׁוֵּ֑עַ וֶ֝אֱל֗וֹהַּ לֹֽא־יָשִׂ֥ים תִּפְלָֽה׃ (יג) הֵ֤מָּה ׀ הָיוּ֮ בְּֽמֹרְדֵ֫י־א֥וֹר לֹא־הִכִּ֥ירוּ דְרָכָ֑יו וְלֹ֥א יָ֝שְׁב֗וּ בִּנְתִיבֹתָֽיו׃ (יד) לָא֡וֹר יָ֘ק֤וּם רוֹצֵ֗חַ יִֽקְטׇל־עָנִ֥י וְאֶבְי֑וֹן וּ֝בַלַּ֗יְלָה יְהִ֣י כַגַּנָּֽב׃ (טו) וְעֵ֤ין נֹאֵ֨ף ׀ שָׁ֤מְרָֽה נֶ֣שֶׁף לֵ֭אמֹר לֹא־תְשׁוּרֵ֣נִי עָ֑יִן וְסֵ֖תֶר פָּנִ֣ים יָשִֽׂים׃ (טז) חָתַ֥ר בַּחֹ֗שֶׁךְ בָּ֫תִּ֥ים יוֹמָ֥ם חִתְּמוּ־לָ֗מוֹ לֹא־יָ֥דְעוּ אֽוֹר׃ (יז) כִּ֤י יַחְדָּ֨ו ׀ בֹּ֣קֶר לָ֣מוֹ צַלְמָ֑וֶת כִּֽי־יַ֝כִּ֗יר בַּלְה֥וֹת צַלְמָֽוֶת׃ (יח) קַל־ה֤וּא ׀ עַל־פְּנֵי־מַ֗יִם תְּקֻלַּ֣ל חֶלְקָתָ֣ם בָּאָ֑רֶץ לֹא־יִ֝פְנֶ֗ה דֶּ֣רֶךְ כְּרָמִֽים׃ (יט) צִיָּ֤ה גַם־חֹ֗ם יִגְזְל֥וּ מֵֽימֵי־שֶׁ֗לֶג שְׁא֣וֹל חָטָֽאוּ׃ (כ) יִשְׁכָּ֘חֵ֤הוּ רֶ֨חֶם ׀ מְתָ֘ק֤וֹ רִמָּ֗ה ע֥וֹד לֹֽא־יִזָּכֵ֑ר וַתִּשָּׁבֵ֖ר כָּעֵ֣ץ עַוְלָֽה׃ (כא) רֹעֶ֣ה עֲ֭קָרָה לֹ֣א תֵלֵ֑ד וְ֝אַלְמָנָ֗ה לֹ֣א יְיֵטִֽיב׃ (כב) וּמָשַׁ֣ךְ אַבִּירִ֣ים בְּכֹח֑וֹ יָ֝ק֗וּם וְֽלֹא־יַאֲמִ֥ין בַּֽחַיִּֽין׃ (כג) יִתֶּן־ל֣וֹ לָ֭בֶטַח וְיִשָּׁעֵ֑ן וְ֝עֵינֵ֗יהוּ עַל־דַּרְכֵיהֶֽם׃ (כד) ר֤וֹמּוּ מְּעַ֨ט ׀ וְֽאֵינֶ֗נּוּ וְֽהֻמְּכ֗וּ כַּכֹּ֥ל יִקָּפְצ֑וּן וּכְרֹ֖אשׁ שִׁבֹּ֣לֶת יִמָּֽלוּ׃ (כה) וְאִם־לֹ֣א אֵ֭פוֹ מִ֣י יַכְזִיבֵ֑נִי וְיָשֵׂ֥ם לְ֝אַ֗ל מִלָּתִֽי׃ {פ}
(1) Why are times for judgment not reserved by Shaddai? Even those close to Him cannot foresee His actions. (2) People remove boundary-stones; They carry off flocks and pasture them; (3) They lead away the donkeys of the fatherless, And seize the widow’s bull as a pledge; (4) They chase the needy off the roads; All the poor of the land are forced into hiding. (5) Like the wild asses of the wilderness, They go about their tasks, seeking food; The wilderness provides each with food for his lads; (6) They harvest fodder in the field, And glean the late grapes in the vineyards of the wicked. (7) They pass the night naked for lack of clothing, They have no covering against the cold; (8) They are drenched by the mountain rains, And huddle against the rock for lack of shelter. (9) They snatch the fatherless infant from the breast, And seize the child of the poor as a pledge. (10) They go about naked for lack of clothing, And, hungry, carry sheaves; (11) Between rows [of olive trees] they make oil, And, thirsty, they tread the winepresses. (12) Men groan in the city; The souls of the dying cry out; Yet God does not regard it as a reproach. (13) They are rebels against the light; They are strangers to its ways, And do not stay in its path. (14) The murderer arises in the evening To kill the poor and needy, And at night he acts the thief. (15) The eyes of the adulterer watch for twilight, Thinking, “No one will glimpse me then.” He masks his face. (16) In the dark they break into houses; By day they shut themselves in; They do not know the light. (17) For all of them morning is darkness; It is then that they discern the terror of darkness. (18) May they be flotsam on the face of the water; May their portion in the land be cursed; May none turn aside by way of their vineyards. (19) May drought and heat snatch away their snow waters, And Sheol, those who have sinned. (20) May the womb forget him; May he be sweet to the worms; May he be no longer remembered; May wrongdoers be broken like a tree. (21) May he consort with a barren woman who bears no child, Leave his widow deprived of good. (22) Though he has the strength to seize bulls, May he live with no assurance of survival. (23) Yet [God] gives him the security on which he relies, And keeps watch over his affairs. (24) Exalted for a while, let them be gone; Be brought low, and shrivel like mallows, And wither like the heads of grain. (25) Surely no one can confute me, Or prove that I am wrong.
(טז) פּוֹתֵ֥חַ אֶת־יָדֶ֑ךָ וּמַשְׂבִּ֖יעַ לְכׇל־חַ֣י רָצֽוֹן׃
(16) You give it openhandedly, feeding every creature to its heart’s content.
(א) הַֽלְלוּ־יָ֡הּ הַֽלְלִ֥י נַ֝פְשִׁ֗י אֶת־יְהֹוָֽה׃ (ב) אֲהַלְלָ֣ה יְהֹוָ֣ה בְּחַיָּ֑י אֲזַמְּרָ֖ה לֵאלֹהַ֣י בְּעוֹדִֽי׃ (ג) אַל־תִּבְטְח֥וּ בִנְדִיבִ֑ים בְּבֶן־אָדָ֓ם ׀ שֶׁ֤אֵ֖ין ל֥וֹ תְשׁוּעָֽה׃ (ד) תֵּצֵ֣א ר֭וּחוֹ יָשֻׁ֣ב לְאַדְמָת֑וֹ בַּיּ֥וֹם הַ֝ה֗וּא אָבְד֥וּ עֶשְׁתֹּֽנֹתָֽיו׃ (ה) אַשְׁרֵ֗י שֶׁ֤אֵ֣ל יַעֲקֹ֣ב בְּעֶזְר֑וֹ שִׂ֝בְר֗וֹ עַל־יְהֹוָ֥ה אֱלֹהָֽיו׃ (ו) עֹשֶׂ֤ה ׀ שָׁ֘מַ֤יִם וָאָ֗רֶץ אֶת־הַיָּ֥ם וְאֶת־כׇּל־אֲשֶׁר־בָּ֑ם הַשֹּׁמֵ֖ר אֱמֶ֣ת לְעוֹלָֽם׃ (ז) עֹשֶׂ֤ה מִשְׁפָּ֨ט ׀ לָעֲשׁוּקִ֗ים נֹתֵ֣ן לֶ֭חֶם לָרְעֵבִ֑ים יְ֝הֹוָ֗ה מַתִּ֥יר אֲסוּרִֽים׃ (ח) יְהֹוָ֤ה ׀ פֹּ֘קֵ֤חַ עִוְרִ֗ים יְ֭הֹוָה זֹקֵ֣ף כְּפוּפִ֑ים יְ֝הֹוָ֗ה אֹהֵ֥ב צַדִּיקִֽים׃ (ט) יְהֹוָ֤ה ׀ שֹׁ֘מֵ֤ר אֶת־גֵּרִ֗ים יָת֣וֹם וְאַלְמָנָ֣ה יְעוֹדֵ֑ד וְדֶ֖רֶךְ רְשָׁעִ֣ים יְעַוֵּֽת׃ (י) יִמְלֹ֤ךְ יְהֹוָ֨ה ׀ לְעוֹלָ֗ם אֱלֹהַ֣יִךְ צִ֭יּוֹן לְדֹ֥ר וָדֹ֗ר הַֽלְלוּ־יָֽהּ׃ {פ}
(1) Hallelujah. Praise the LORD, O my soul! (2) I will praise the LORD all my life, sing hymns to my God while I exist. (3) Put not your trust in the great, in mortal man who cannot save. (4) His breath departs; he returns to the dust; on that day his plans come to nothing. (5) Happy is he who has the God of Jacob for his help, whose hope is in the LORD his God, (6) maker of heaven and earth, the sea and all that is in them; who keeps faith forever; (7) who secures justice for those who are wronged, gives food to the hungry. The LORD sets prisoners free; (8) The LORD restores sight to the blind; the LORD makes those who are bent stand straight; the LORD loves the righteous; (9) The LORD watches over the stranger; He gives courage to the orphan and widow, but makes the path of the wicked tortuous. (10) The LORD shall reign forever, your God, O Zion, for all generations. Hallelujah.
