(1) The proverbs of Solomon: A wise son gladdens a father; but a foolish son is his mother’s sorrow.

(2) Treasures of wickedness are of no avail, But charity rescues from death.

(3) God will not bring hunger upon the soul of a righteous person, but the destructiveness of the wicked batters them.

(6) Blessings will descend upon the head of the righteous one, But their violence smothers the mouth of the wicked.

(7) Remembering the righteous brings blessing, But the name of the wicked will rot.

(11) The mouth of a righteous person is a wellspring of life, But the mouth of wicked people conceals their violence.

(16) The deed of the righteous man makes for life; The produce of the wicked man makes for sin.

(20) The tongue of the righteous person is choice silver, But the heart of the wicked is minute. (21) The lips of the righteous nourishes many, But fools will die for lack of heart. (22) It is the blessing of God that enriches, And no toil can increase it.

(24) What the wicked person dreads will come upon him, and Hashem will grant the desire of the righteous. (25) When the storm passes, the wicked person is no more, But the righteous one is the foundation of the world.

(27) Fear of God prolongs life, But the years of the wicked will be shortened. (28) The righteous person may expect joy, But the hope of the wicked is doomed.

(30) A righteous person will not falter forever; The wicked will not dwell tranquilly in the land. (31) The mouth of the righteous person speaks wisdom, But the duplicitous tongue will be cut off. (32) The lips of a righteous person know what is pleasing; But the mouth of the wicked [knows] duplicity.

(ל) צַדִּ֣יק לְעוֹלָ֣ם בַּל־יִמּ֑וֹט וּ֝רְשָׁעִ֗ים לֹ֣א יִשְׁכְּנוּ־אָֽרֶץ׃

(30) The righteous will never be shaken; The wicked will not inhabit the earth.
