(ו) כִּ֭י בְּחַלּ֣וֹן בֵּיתִ֑י בְּעַ֖ד אֶשְׁנַבִּ֣י נִשְׁקָֽפְתִּי׃
(6) From the window of my house, Through my lattice [or: through my telescope], I looked out
(7) And I saw among the gullible ones, I discerned among the youths, A lad lacking understanding of heart --
(ח) עֹבֵ֣ר בַּ֭שּׁוּק אֵ֣צֶל פִּנָּ֑הּ וְדֶ֖רֶךְ בֵּיתָ֣הּ יִצְעָֽד׃
(8) -- passing through the marketplace near her corner, and he strode toward her house
(יא) הֹמִיָּ֣ה הִ֣יא וְסֹרָ֑רֶת בְּ֝בֵיתָ֗הּ לֹא־יִשְׁכְּנ֥וּ רַגְלֶֽיהָ׃
(11) She is tempestuous and rebellious; her feet are never at home.
(יט) כִּ֤י אֵ֣ין הָאִ֣ישׁ בְּבֵית֑וֹ הָ֝לַ֗ךְ בְּדֶ֣רֶךְ מֵרָחֽוֹק׃
(19) For the man is away from his house; He has gone on a distant journey.
(כ) צְֽרוֹר־הַ֭כֶּסֶף לָקַ֣ח בְּיָד֑וֹ לְי֥וֹם הַ֝כֵּ֗סֶא יָבֹ֥א בֵיתֽוֹ׃
(20) He took his bag of money in his hand, And will come home only at the appointed day.”
(כז) דַּרְכֵ֣י שְׁא֣וֹל בֵּיתָ֑הּ יֹ֝רְד֗וֹת אֶל־חַדְרֵי־מָֽוֶת׃ (פ)
(27) The ways of her house lead to the grave, descending to the chambers of Death.
