Parshas Tzav (Pesach) Inextinguishable Enthusiasm
(5) The fire on the altar shall be kept burning, not to go out: every morning the priest shall feed wood to it, lay out the burnt offering on it, and turn into smoke the fat parts of the offerings of well-being. (6) A perpetual fire shall be kept burning on the altar, not to go out.
IT SHALL NEVER GO OUT — One who extinguishes the fire on the altar transgresses two negative commands (this and that contained in v. 5).
If we were told that there has to be a perpetual flame - surely we understand that the fire cannot be extinguished?

Even while the Israelites were journeying through the desert, G-d’s honour demanded that precautions be taken that this flame be kept going. According to Rabbi Yehudah in the Sifra. they used a kind of metal dome fixed above it to insure that it was kept going.

Fire must be burning, especially if a person is going through difficult circumstances
there is another fire in the Mishkan - the light of the menorah which was lit daily
(1) The LORD spoke to Moses, saying: (2) Speak to Aaron and say to him, “When you mount the lamps, let the seven lamps give light at the front of the lampstand.” (3) Aaron did so; he mounted the lamps at the front of the lampstand, as the LORD had commanded Moses.—
AND AARON DID SO — This is stated in order to tell the praise of Aaron — that he did not deviate [from G-d's command] (cf. Sifrei Bamidbar 60).

We need to explain that he did this Mitzva all the days of his life with one intention and purpose

It is usual that at the beginning one is excited but afterwards the excitement wanes.

Need to find fresי motivation to do something on a regular basis

We have to find a way to hold on to the The initial enthusiasm from when we first do something

While the concept is simple enough, it is deceptively difficult to retain a fresh and energetic attitude toward our mitzvos, especially those we perform daily. We have had many seder nights before but if we could tap in to the excitement that the children have – they all so excited to sit down on Motzei Shabbos the Pesach seder !! We need to find new ideas, games and interactive activities to keep ourselves and others enthused
We also need to find a way to keep up our enthusiasm for daily mitzvos
