(4) When a person lets their livestock loose to graze in another’s land, and so allows a field or a vineyard to be grazed bare, they must make restitution for the impairment of that field or vineyard. (5) When a fire is started and spreads to thorns, so that stacked, standing, or growing grain is consumed, the one who started the fire must make restitution. (6) When a person gives money or goods to another for safekeeping, and they are stolen from the latter’s house—if the thief is caught, the thief shall pay double; (7) if the thief is not caught, the owner of the house shall depose before Elohim that they have not laid hands on the other’s property. (8) In all charges of misappropriation—pertaining to an ox, an ass, a sheep, a garment, or any other loss, whereof one party alleges, “This is it”—the case of both parties shall come before Elohim: the one whom Elohim declares guilty shall pay double to the other.

אלהים לא תקלל THOU SHALT NOT EXECRATE GOD — Here you have the prohibition of blasphemy (the penalty being stated in Leviticus 24:16) and the prohibition of cursing a judge.
והגישו אדניו אל האלהים לב''ד, צריך שימלך במוכריו שמכרוהו לו (מכילתא). ואמר ר''א כי נקראו השופטים אלהים בעבור שהם מקיימי משפטי האלהים בארץ. ולדעתי יאמר הכתוב והגישו אדניו אל האלהים, עד האלהים יבא דבר שניהם (להלן כב ח), לרמוז כי האלהים יהיה עמהם בדבר המשפט, הוא יצדיק והוא ירשיע וזהו שאמר (שם) אשר ירשיעון אלהים, וכך אמר משה כי המשפט לאלהים הוא (דברים א יז). וכך אמר יהושפט כי לא לאדם תשפטו כי לה' ועמכם בדבר משפט (דהי''ב יט ו). וכן אמר הכתוב אלהים נצב בעדת אל בקרב אלהים ישפוט (תהלים פב א), כלומר בקרב עדת אלהים ישפוט, כי האלהים הוא השופט. וכן אמר ועמדו שני האנשים אשר להם הריב לפני ה' ( דברים יט יז). וזה טעם כי לא אצדיק רשע (להלן כג ז) על הפירוש הנכון. ובאלה שמות רבה (ל כד) ראיתי אלא בשעה שהדיין יושב ודן באמת, כביכול מניח הקב''ה שמי השמים ומשרה שכינתו בצדו, שנאמר (שופטים ב יח) כי הקים ה' להם שופטים והיה ה', עם השופט:
