(28) “May God give you of the dew of heaven and the fat of the earth, Abundance of new grain and wine. (29) Let peoples serve you, And nations bow to you; Be master over your brothers, And let your mother’s sons bow to you. Cursed be they who curse you, Blessed they who bless you.”
Rebekah said to her son Jacob, “I overheard your father speaking to your brother Esav, saying...(To go hunting and bring him a meal before Isaac gives him his blessing)

(11) Yaakov answered his mother Rebekah, “But my brother Esav is a hairy man and I am smooth-skinned. (12) If my father touches me, I shall appear to him as a deceiver and bring upon myself a curse, not a blessing.” (13) But his mother said to him, “Your curse, my son, be upon me! Just do as I say and go fetch them for me.”
...עשו הוא אדום
עשו הוא אדום, someone always addicted to realize all his material desires, satiate his lust. The overpowering desire of Esau for what attracted his eye was demonstrated when he could not remember the name “lentils” when he was tired, demanding to be given from “this red, red stuff.”
(12) When you have eaten your fill, and have built fine houses to live in, (13) and your herds and flocks have multiplied, and your silver and gold have increased, and everything you own has prospered, (14) beware lest your heart grow haughty and you forget the LORD your God—who freed you from the land of Egypt, the house of bondage;
The Zohar teaches that Rebecca stands for the Shechinah and Yaakov represents the Jewish people, we can therefore reinterpretthe the verses thus. Isaac wanted to give Esav the material blessings of this world, but the Shechinah, loving Mother of the Jewish people, desired that Yaakov be blessed in this as well. How could She bear her people's poverty and suffering in this world?! Therefore she to Yaakov to go and receive the blessing from his father.
But Yaakov was deeply afraid of being blessing in the material world - a panic rose in him, what if he were to become too deeply attached to this world, separating himself from the service of G-d? of this the Torah says "When you have eaten your fill... and your heart become[s] haughty and you forget the Lord your G-d (Dvarim 8:12-14). He therefore replies to his Rebecca "Esav is a hairy man" meaning a person enmeshed in this world, doing a mix of good and bad, whatever comes his way. But "I am a smooth man" meaning I am supposed to be pure and perfect, with no impurity mixed in whatsoever. Blessing in the physical world may lead me astray from G-d. This is "My father will touch me" meaning my Heavenly father with judge my deeds "Then in His eyes I will appear to him a trickster and bring upon myself a curse, not a blessing" Yaakov feared that worldly blessing may turn out to be a terrible curse! His Mother said "Your curse will be on me" meaning it will be my responsibility to protect you from such a curse. "Now go take for me a goat..." Receive the blessings of the world for My sake, that your intent in all worldly matters, including eating and drinking, should be for the sake of Hashem...

...And now that he (Yaakov) was dressed in Esav's clothes, playing his role, it is written "He smelled his clothes (and blessed him). And Yaakov spoke the truth when he said "I am Esav, your firstborn" in interiority and destiny
