Parshat Chayei Sarah: Blessed in Everything

Abraham was now old, advanced in years, and the LORD had blessed Abraham in all things.

The Torah states: “And the Lord blessed Abraham with everything [bakkol]” (Genesis 24:1), and the Sages disagree about what bakkol means. Rabbi Meir says: The blessing is that he did not have a daughter. Rabbi Yehuda says: On the contrary, the blessing was that he had a daughter. Others say: Abraham had a daughter and her name was Bakkol. Rabbi Elazar HaModa’i says: Abraham our forefather was so knowledgeable in astrology that all the kings of the East and the West would come early to his door. Rabbi Shimon ben Yoḥai says: A precious stone hung around the neck of Abraham our forefather; any sick person who looked at it would immediately be healed. When Abraham our forefather died, the Holy One, Blessed be He, hung this stone from the sphere of the sun, which from that point on brought healing to the sick. Abaye said: This explains the adage that people say: As the day progresses, sickness is lifted.

Or Ha-Me'ir (1815) on Genesis 24:1

Our sages taught about this verse that Avraham Avinu had a daughter named Ba-Kol (In all). We must interpret there words in light of the teaching in the Tikkunei Zohar (116b-117a) about the Shekhinah: "When She is among birds She is called "Eagle" when She is among flowers she is called "Lilly", etc...

We need to understand the depths of this teaching. If you are a person to whom G-d has granted a contemplative mind and you want to enter into G-d's service in an inward and wholehearted way, you will do as follows: In everything you see and hear, you will see only the Divine presence that is "garbed" there. You will take it as a clue to deeper wisdom , awakening you to become attached to G-d... thus you will be raising sparks of Divinity (The Shekhinah) that dwell in all (Ba Kol) and give life to all. This is what is meant by the earlier passage of the Zohar, The Shekhinah's name varies along with all the diversity that exist in the world [so we can find Her and draw close to G-d in everything]

Avraham Avinu understood this teaching deeply and tried so hard to find The Shekhinah in everything / everywhere (Ba Kol). He grasped this immanent presence on all levels, even the most material and worldly and was able see Her properly.
This is the essence of the meaning of the idea that "Avraham had a daughter and her name was Ba Kol" (Bava Batra 16b) Because She is found in everything...

Ours and all that is ours— just as our forefathers were blessed— Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob— In all things, Abraham was blessed “in all things.” (Genesis 24:1)From everything,” Isaac said: “I have partaken from everything.” (Genesis 27:33) and “With everything”; Jacob said: “I have everything.” (Genesis 33:11) so may He bless us, all of us together, with a complete blessing and let us say Amen.
