א"ר חלבו אמר רב הונא כל הקובע מקום לתפלתו אלהי אברהם בעזרו וכשמת אומרים לו אי עניו אי חסיד מתלמידיו של אברהם אבינוואברהם אבינו מנא לן דקבע מקום דכתיב (בראשית יט, כז) וישכם אברהם בבקר אל המקום אשר עמד שם
R. Helbo said in the name of Rab Huna : Whoever fixes a place for his prayer has the God of Abraham for his help : and on his death, it is said of him, "Where is the humble and pious man, of the disciples of our father Abraham !" Whence do we learn that our father Abraham fixed a place for his prayer ? For it is written, (Gen. xix. 27)"And Abraham got up early in the morning to the place where he had stood."
(יט) יִקְבַּע מָקוֹם לִתְפִלָּתוֹ, שֶׁלֹּא יְשַׁנֶּהוּ אִם לֹא לְצֹרֶךְ. וְאֵין דַּי לוֹ בְּמַה שֶּׁיִּקְבַּע לוֹ בֵּית הַכְּנֶסֶת לְהִתְפַּלֵּל, אֶלָּא גַּם בְּבֵית הַכְּנֶסֶת שֶׁקָּבוּעַ בָּהּ צָרִיךְ שֶׁיִּהְיֶה לוֹ מָקוֹם קָבוּעַ.
(נט) (נט) יקבע מקום - שכן מצינו בא"א שקבע מקום לתפילתו כדכתיב וישכם אברהם בבוקר אל המקום אשר עמד שם את פני ד' וגו'. וגם כשמתפלל בביתו יקבע מקום שלא יבלבלוהו בני הבית:
