(א) מִזְמ֥וֹר לְדָוִ֑ד
בְּ֝בָרְח֗וֹ מִפְּנֵ֤י ׀ אַבְשָׁל֬וֹם בְּנֽוֹ׃
(ב) ה' מָֽה־רַבּ֣וּ צָרָ֑י
רַ֝בִּ֗ים קָמִ֥ים עָלָֽי׃
(ג) רַבִּים֮ אֹמְרִ֪ים לְנַ֫פְשִׁ֥י
אֵ֤ין יְֽשׁוּעָ֓תָה לּ֬וֹ בֵֽאלֹקִ֬ים
סֶֽלָה׃
(ד) וְאַתָּ֣ה ה' מָגֵ֣ן בַּעֲדִ֑י
כְּ֝בוֹדִ֗י וּמֵרִ֥ים רֹאשִֽׁי׃
(ה) ק֭וֹלִי אֶל־ה' אֶקְרָ֑א
וַיַּֽעֲנֵ֨נִי מֵהַ֖ר קָדְשׁ֣וֹ
סֶֽלָה׃
(ו) אֲנִ֥י שָׁכַ֗בְתִּי וָֽאִ֫ישָׁ֥נָה
הֱקִיצ֑וֹתִי כִּ֖י ה' יִסְמְכֵֽנִי׃
(ז) לֹֽא־אִ֭ירָא מֵרִבְב֥וֹת עָ֑ם
אֲשֶׁ֥ר סָ֝בִ֗יב שָׁ֣תוּ עָלָֽי׃
(ח) ק֘וּמָ֤ה ה' ׀ הוֹשִׁ֘יעֵ֤נִי אֱלֹקַ֗י
כִּֽי־הִכִּ֣יתָ אֶת־כָּל־אֹיְבַ֣י לֶ֑חִי
שִׁנֵּ֖י רְשָׁעִ֣ים שִׁבַּֽרְתָּ׃
(ט) לַה' הַיְשׁוּעָ֑ה
עַֽל־עַמְּךָ֖ בִרְכָתֶ֣ךָ סֶּֽלָה׃
(1) A psalm of David
when he fled from his son Absalom.
(2) O Hashem, my foes are so many!
Many are those who rise against me;
(3) Many who say of my me/my life/my soul,
“There is no deliverance for him through God.”
Selah.
(4) But You, O Hashem, are a shield for me,
my glory and the One who lifts my head.
(5) With my voice I call out to Hashem,
and He answers me from His holy mountain.

(6) I lie down and (actually) sleep;
I wake up, for Hashem supports me.
(7) I will not fear the myriad forces
who are arranged against me all about.
(8) Rise, O Hashem! Deliver me, O my God!
For You slap all my enemies on the cheek;

וְֽאַל־בַּחֲמָתְךָ֥ תְיַסְּרֵֽנִי׃

רְפָאֵ֥נִי ה' כִּ֖י נִבְהֲל֣וּ עֲצָמָֽי׃

בְּ֝דִמְעָתִ֗י עַרְשִׂ֥י אַמְסֶֽה׃
(ח) עָֽשְׁשָׁ֣ה מִכַּ֣עַס עֵינִ֑י
עָֽ֝תְקָ֗ה בְּכָל־צוֹרְרָֽי׃
(ט) ס֣וּרוּ מִ֭מֶּנִּי כָּל־פֹּ֣עֲלֵי אָ֑וֶן
כִּֽי־שָׁמַ֥ע ה' ק֣וֹל בִּכְיִֽי׃
(י) שָׁמַ֣ע ה' תְּחִנָּתִ֑י
ה' תְּֽפִלָּתִ֥י יִקָּֽח׃
(יא) יֵבֹ֤שׁוּ ׀ וְיִבָּהֲל֣וּ מְ֭אֹד כָּל־אֹיְבָ֑י
יָ֝שֻׁ֗בוּ יֵבֹ֥שׁוּ רָֽגַע׃
(1) For the leader, with instrumentation on the eight-string lute,
a psalm of David.
(2) O Hashem, do not chastise me in Your anger,
do not discipline me in Your fury.
(3) Have mercy on me, O Hashem, for I am wretched;
heal me, O Hashem, for my bones/limbs shake/are weak.
(4) I/my life/my soul shakes/is very weak -
and You, Hashem, O, how long!
(5) O Hashem, come back! Rescue me/my life/my soul!
Deliver me for the sake of Your kindness.
(6) For there is no mention of You in death; in She-ol, who can thank You?
(7) I am exhausted with groaning;
every night I flood my bed,
I melt my couch in tears.
(8) My eyes darken from vexation,
wear out because of all my foes.
(9) Turn away from me, evildoers,
for Hashem hears the sound of my weeping.
(10) Hashem hears my plea,
Hashem will accept my prayer.
(11) May all my enemies be shamed and be greatly shaken/weakened;
may they turn back and be instantly shamed.
