ומי כתבן...דוד כתב ספר תהלים על ידי עשרה זקנים ע"י אדם הראשון על ידי מלכי צדק ועל ידי אברהם וע"י משה ועל ידי הימן וע"י ידותון ועל ידי אסף ועל ידי שלשה בני קרח
And who wrote [the books of the Bible]? ...David wrote the book of Psalms by means of ten elders - by Adam the first [human being], by Melchitzedek, by Abraham, by Moses, by Heman, by Yedutun, by Asaf, and by the three sons of Korah.
(א) אַ֥שְֽׁרֵי־הָאִ֗ישׁ
אֲשֶׁ֤ר ׀ לֹ֥א הָלַךְ֮ בַּעֲצַ֪ת רְשָׁ֫עִ֥ים
וּבְדֶ֣רֶךְ חַ֭טָּאִים לֹ֥א עָמָ֑ד
וּבְמוֹשַׁ֥ב לֵ֝צִ֗ים לֹ֣א יָשָֽׁב׃
(ב) כִּ֤י אִ֥ם בְּתוֹרַ֥ת ה' חֶ֫פְצ֥וֹ
וּֽבְתוֹרָת֥וֹ יֶהְגֶּ֗ה יוֹמָ֥ם וָלָֽיְלָה׃
(ג) וְֽהָיָ֗ה כְּעֵץ֮ שָׁת֪וּל עַֽל־פַּלְגֵ֫י מָ֥יִם
אֲשֶׁ֤ר פִּרְי֨וֹ ׀ יִתֵּ֬ן בְּעִתּ֗וֹ
וְעָלֵ֥הוּ לֹֽא־יִבּ֑וֹל
וְכֹ֖ל אֲשֶׁר־יַעֲשֶׂ֣ה יַצְלִֽיחַ׃
(ד) לֹא־כֵ֥ן הָרְשָׁעִ֑ים
כִּ֥י אִם־כַּ֝מֹּ֗ץ
אֲֽשֶׁר־תִּדְּפֶ֥נּוּ רֽוּחַ׃
(ה) עַל־כֵּ֤ן ׀
לֹא־יָקֻ֣מוּ רְ֭שָׁעִים בַּמִּשְׁפָּ֑ט
וְ֝חַטָּאִ֗ים בַּעֲדַ֥ת צַדִּיקִֽים׃
(ו) כִּֽי־יוֹדֵ֣עַ ה' דֶּ֣רֶךְ צַדִּיקִ֑ים
וְדֶ֖רֶךְ רְשָׁעִ֣ים תֹּאבֵֽד׃
(1) Happy is the man
who has not walked in the wicked's counsel,
or stood on the path of offenders,
or sat in the company of scorners;
(2) rather, the teaching of Hashem is his delight;
he utters His teaching day and night.
(3) He is as a tree planted by streams of water,
which yields its fruit in season,
whose foliage never fades,
and whatever it produces thrives.
(4) Not so the wicked;
rather, [they are] like chaff
that wind blows away.
(5) Therefore,
the wicked will not stand up judgment,
nor offenders in the assembly of the just.
(6) For Hashem knows the way of the just,
but the way of the wicked is lost.
