(1) In the year that King Uzziah died, I beheld my Lord seated on a high and lofty throne; and the skirts of His robe filled the Temple. (2) Seraphs stood in attendance on Him. Each of them had six wings: with two he covered his face, with two he covered his legs, and with two he would fly. (3) And one would call to the other, “Holy, holy, holy! The LORD of Hosts! His presence fills all the earth!” (4) The doorposts would shake at the sound of the one who called, and the House kept filling with smoke. (5) I cried, “Woe is me; I am lost! For I am a man of unclean lips And I live among a people Of unclean lips; Yet my own eyes have beheld The King LORD of Hosts.”

נְקַדֵּשׁ אֶת שִׁמְךָ בָּעולָם. כְּשֵׁם שֶׁמַּקְדִּישִׁים אותו בִּשְׁמֵי מָרום. כַּכָּתוּב עַל יַד נְבִיאֶךָ: וְקָרָא זֶה אֶל זֶה וְאָמַר:

(ב) קו”ח: קָדושׁ. קָדושׁ. קָדושׁ ה' צְבָאות. מְלא כָל הָאָרֶץ כְּבודו:

(ג) חזן: לְעֻמָתָם בָּרוּךְ יאמֵרוּ:

(ד) קו”ח: בָּרוּךְ כְּבוד ה' מִמְּקומו:

(ה) חזן: וּבְדִבְרֵי קָדְשְׁךָ כָּתוּב לֵאמר: קו"ח - יִמְלךְ ה' לְעולָם. אֱלקַיִךְ צִיּון לְדר וָדר. הַלְלוּיָהּ:

(ו) לחזן: לְדור וָדור נַגִּיד גָּדְלֶךָ וּלְנֵצַח נְצָחִים קְדֻשָּׁתְךָ נַקְדִּישׁ. וְשִׁבְחֲךָ אֱלקֵינוּ מִפִּינוּ לא יָמוּשׁ לְעולָם וָעֶד. כִּי אֵל מֶלֶךְ גָּדול וְקָדושׁ אָתָּה: בָּרוּךְ אַתָּה ה' הָאֵל בעשי"ת הַמֶּלֶךְ הַקָּדושׁ:

(1) During the prayer leader's repetition: We shall sanctify Your name in the world, in the same way as they sanctify it in the Heavens above. As it is written by the hand of Your prophets (Isaiah 6:3), "And they called, this one to that one, saying:

(2) The congregation and the leader: Holy, holy, holy is the Lord of hosts, the whole world is full of His glory."

(3) The leader: Across from them, they say, "Blessed":

(4) The congregation and the leader: "Blessed is the Glory of God from His place" (Ezekiel 3:12).

(5) The leader:And in Your holy words, it is written, saying:The congregation and the leader: "May the Lord reign forever - your God, O Zion - for each and every generation; praise the Lord" (Pslams 146:10).

(6) The leader: For each and every generation, we will tell Your greatness, and forever and ever, we will sanctify Your holiness. And Your praise, our God, will not depart from our mouths forever on; since You are God, great and holy King. Blessed are You, O Lord, the holy God. (During the Days of Awe say: Blessed are You, O Lord, the holy King.)

קדוש תאר השם והקדושה בעצם ולא תשתנה כנגד המקומות, והשם הראה לו זאת הנבואה בעבור שיתקדש מטומאת השפה, כי השם קדוש וכן משרתיו ושלוחיו:
Holy. An adjective. Holiness is an essential attribute of the Lord; it is therefore the same in every place. God showed Isaiah this vision, that he might purify himself from the uncleanness of the lips; for the Lord is holy, and so also should be His servants and messengers.
וְזֶה הַשְּׁלֵמוּת מֻכְרָח שֶׁיִּהְיֶה לְהַצַּדִּיק, וּבְלֹא זֶה אֵינוֹ צַדִּיק כְּלָל, כִּי צָרִיךְ לְהַרְאוֹת לְמִי שֶׁהוּא לְמַטָּה מְאֹד בַּדְּיוֹטָא הַתַּחְתּוֹנָה לְגַמְרֵי, שֶׁעֲדַיִן הוּא סָמוּךְ לַה' מַמָּשׁ, כִּבְיָכוֹל, וּלְעוֹרְרוֹ וּלְגַלּוֹת לוֹ: ה' עִמְּךָ, וְאַל תִּירָא וְאַל תְּפַחֵד וְאַל תֵּחַת, כִּי הוּא יִתְבָּרַךְ עִמְּךָ וְאֶצְלְךָ וְקָרוֹב לְךָ מַמָּשׁ, כִּי מְלֹא כָל הָאָרֶץ כְּבוֹדוֹ (ישעיה ו).
This is the perfection which the tzaddik must have, and without this he is not a tzaddik at all. For he has to show whoever is far below, on the absolute bottom level, that he is still actually close to God, so to speak. And he has to rouse him, and reveal to him: God is with you. Fear not; do not be afraid or frightened, for the Blessed One is with you, near you and right next to you, because “the whole earth is filled with His glory” (Isaiah 6:3).

In truth, were a person to know with a whole heart that “all the earth is filled with His Glory” (Isaiah 6:3), and that the Holy Blessed One stands [nearby him] during prayer and hears the prayer, he would surely pray with great enthusiasm. He would be extremely meticulous to recite his words with focused intention. However, because a person does not know this with a whole heart, he does not get very enthusiastic and is not very meticulous. And each person’s enthusiasm and meticulousness is commensurate with the limitations of his intellect and knowledge. This knowledge stems from the good inclination in the heart, while the concealment of this knowledge is due to the evil inclination in the heart. Indeed, this concealment of the knowledge is the heresy and questioning; the evil inclination perplexes his heart so that he should succumb to evil (cf. Proverbs 28:14) .
כִּי יֵשׁ בְּכָל אֶחָד מִיִּשְׂרָאֵל דָּבָר יָקָר, שֶׁהוּא בְּחִינַת נְקֻדָּה, מַה שֶּׁאֵין בַּחֲבֵרוֹ, כְּמַעֲשֵׂה דְּאַבַּיֵי וְאַבָּא אֻמָּנָא (תענית כא:), שֶׁהֵשִׁיבוּ לוֹ: לָא מָצִית לְמֶעֱבַד כְּעֻבְדָּא דְּאַבָּא אֻמָּנָא וְכוּ'. וּבְחִינָה הַזֹּאת שֶׁיֵּשׁ בּוֹ יוֹתֵר מֵחֲבֵרוֹ, הוּא מַשְׁפִּיעַ וּמֵאִיר וּמְעוֹרֵר לֵב חֲבֵרוֹ, וַחֲבֵרוֹ צָרִיךְ לְקַבֵּל הִתְעוֹרְרוּת וּבְחִינָה הַזֹּאת מִמֶּנּוּ, כְּמוֹ שֶׁכָּתוּב: וּמְקַבְּלִין דֵּין מִן דֵּין.
For in every Jew there is something precious, an aspect of a nekudah, which his friend does not have. As in the story of Abaye and Abba Umna, where they answered him, “Your deeds do not match those of Abba Umna” (Taanit 21b). And with this aspect in which he surpasses his friend, he influences, enlightens and inspires his friend’s heart. And his friend has to receive inspiration and this aspect from him, as in (Targum, Isaiah 6:3), “One receives from the other.”
וּלְהֶפֶךְ צָרִיךְ לְהַרְאוֹת לְדָרֵי מַטָּה, שֶׁאַדְּרַבָּא, מְלֹא כָּל הָאָרֶץ כְּבוֹדוֹ (ישעיהו ו׳:ג׳). כִּי יֵשׁ שׁוֹכְנֵי עָפָר, שֶׁהֵם בְּנֵי־אָדָם הַמּוּנָחִים בַּמַּדְרֵגָה הַתַּחְתּוֹנָה, וְנִדְמֶה לָהֶם שֶׁהֵם רְחוֹקִים מְאֹד מִמֶּנּוּ יִתְבָּרַךְ, וְצָרִיךְ הַצַּדִּיק לְעוֹרְרָם וְלַהֲקִיצָם, בִּבְחִינַת (שם כו): הָקִיצוּ וְרַנְּנוּ שֹׁכְנֵי עָפָר. וּלְגַלּוֹת לָהֶם שֶׁה' עִמָּם, וְהֵם סְמוּכִים־אֵלָיו יִתְבָּרַךְ, כִּי מְלֹא כָל הָאָרֶץ כְּבוֹדוֹ. וּלְחַזְּקָם וּלְעוֹרְרָם, שֶׁלֹּא יִהְיוּ מְיָאֲשִׁין עַצְמָן, חַס וְשָׁלוֹם, כִּי עֲדַיִן הֵם אֵצֶל הַשֵּׁם יִתְבָּרַךְ וּקְרוֹבִים־אֵלָיו, כִּי מְלֹא כָל הָאָרֶץ כְּבוֹדוֹ.
Conversely, he has to show those who dwell below that, on the contrary, “the whole earth is filled with His glory” (Isaiah 6:3). For there are those who “dwell in the dust,” who are sunk in the lowest levels, to whom it seems as if they are very distant from the Blessed One. The tzaddik has to rouse and wake them, as in “awake and sing out, you who dwell in the dust” (ibid. 26:19). He must reveal to them that God is with them, and that they are close to Him, because “the whole earth is filled with His glory.” And he must encourage and rouse them so that they do not despair, God forbid, for they are still with God and close to Him, because “the whole earth is filled with His glory.”
