(1) Hashem said to Moshe and Aharon in the land of Egypt: (2) This month shall mark for you the beginning of the months; it shall be the first of the months of the year for you. (3) Speak to the whole community of Israel and say that on the tenth of this month each of them shall take a lamb to a family, a lamb to a household. (4) But if the household is too small for a lamb, let him share one with a neighbor who dwells nearby, in proportion to the number of persons: you shall contribute for the lamb according to what each household will eat. (5) Your lamb shall be without blemish, a yearling male; you may take it from the sheep or from the goats. (6) You shall keep watch over it until the fourteenth day of this month; and all the assembled congregation of the Israelites shall slaughter it at twilight. (7) They shall take some of the blood and put it on the two doorposts and the lintel of the houses in which they are to eat it. (8) They shall eat the flesh that same night; they shall eat it roasted over the fire, with unleavened bread and with bitter herbs. (9) Do not eat any of it raw, or cooked in any way with water, but roasted—head, legs, and entrails—over the fire. (10) You shall not leave any of it over until morning; if any of it is left until morning, you shall burn it. (11) This is how you shall eat it: your loins girded, your sandals on your feet, and your staff in your hand; and you shall eat it hurriedly: it is a passover offering to Hashem. (12) For that night I will go through the land of Egypt and strike down every first-born in the land of Egypt, both man and beast; and I will mete out punishments to all the gods of Egypt, I Hashem. (13) And the blood on the houses where you are staying shall be a sign for you: when I see the blood I will pass over you, so that no plague will destroy you when I strike the land of Egypt. (14) This day shall be to you one of remembrance: you shall celebrate it as a festival to throughout the ages; you shall celebrate it as an institution for all time. (15) Seven days you shall eat unleavened bread; on the very first day you shall remove leaven from your houses, for whoever eats leavened bread from the first day to the seventh day, that person shall be cut off from Israel. (16) You shall celebrate a sacred occasion on the first day, and a sacred occasion on the seventh day; no work at all shall be done on them; only what every person is to eat, that alone may be prepared for you.
(2) You shall slaughter the passover sacrifice for Hashem your God, from the flock and the herd, in the place where Hashem will choose to establish His name.
(ה) הַפֶּסַח נִשְׁחָט בְּשָׁלֹשׁ כִּתּוֹת, שֶׁנֶּאֱמַר וְשָׁחֲטוּ אֹתוֹ כֹּל קְהַל עֲדַת יִשְׂרָאֵל, (שמות יב) קָהָל וְעֵדָה וְיִשְׂרָאֵל. נִכְנְסָה כַת הָרִאשׁוֹנָה, נִתְמַלֵּאת הָעֲזָרָה, נָעֲלוּ דַלְתוֹת הָעֲזָרָה. תָּקְעוּ, הֵרִיעוּ וְתָקָעוּ. הַכֹּהֲנִים עוֹמְדִים שׁוּרוֹת שׁוּרוֹת, וּבִידֵיהֶם בָּזִיכֵי כֶסֶף וּבָזִיכֵי זָהָב...
(5) The pesah is slaughtered in three divisions, as it is said, “And the whole assembly of the congregation of Israel shall slaughter it” (Exodus 12:6): “assembly,” “congregation,” and “Israel.” The first division entered, the Temple court was filled, and they closed the doors of the Temple court. They sounded a teki'ah, a teru'ah, and a teki'ah. The priests stood in rows, and in their hands were basins of silver and basins of gold...
(י) ... יָצְתָה כַת רִאשׁוֹנָה וְיָשְׁבָה לָהּ בְּהַר הַבַּיִת, שְׁנִיָּה בַּחֵיל, וְהַשְּׁלִישִׁית בִּמְקוֹמָהּ עוֹמֶדֶת. חֲשֵׁכָה, יָצְאוּ וְצָלוּ אֶת פִּסְחֵיהֶן:
(10) ...The first division went out and sat down on the Temple mount, the second [sat] in the hel, while the third remained in its place. When it grew dark they went out and roasted their pesah lambs.
(א) עַרְבֵי פְסָחִים סָמוּךְ לַמִּנְחָה, לֹא יֹאכַל אָדָם עַד שֶׁתֶּחְשָׁךְ. וַאֲפִלּוּ עָנִי שֶׁבְּיִשְׂרָאֵל לֹא יֹאכַל עַד שֶׁיָּסֵב. וְלֹא יִפְחֲתוּ לוֹ מֵאַרְבַּע כּוֹסוֹת שֶׁל יַיִן, וַאֲפִלּוּ מִן הַתַּמְחוּי:
(1) On the eve of Pesah close to minhah one may not eat until nightfall. Even the poorest person in Israel must not eat [on the night of Pesah] until he reclines. And they should give him not less than four cups [of wine], and even from the charity plate.
(ג) הֵבִיאוּ לְפָנָיו, מְטַבֵּל בַּחֲזֶרֶת, עַד שֶׁמַּגִּיעַ לְפַרְפֶּרֶת הַפַּת. הֵבִיאוּ לְפָנָיו מַצָּה וַחֲזֶרֶת וַחֲרֹסֶת וּשְׁנֵי תַבְשִׁילִין, אַף עַל פִּי שֶׁאֵין חֲרֹסֶת מִצְוָה. רַבִּי אֱלִיעֶזֶר בְּרַבִּי צָדוֹק אוֹמֵר, מִצְוָה. וּבַמִּקְדָּשׁ הָיוּ מְבִיאִים לְפָנָיו גּוּפוֹ שֶׁל פָּסַח:
(3) They bring [it] in front of him. He dips lettuce before until he reaches the appetizer that precedes the bread. They bring before him matzah, lettuce, and haroset (and two dishes) though the haroset is not mandatory. Rabbi Elazar son of Rabbi Zadok says: it is mandatory. And in the Temple they bring the body of the pesah before him.
(ח) וְהִגַּדְתָּ֣ לְבִנְךָ֔ בַּיּ֥וֹם הַה֖וּא לֵאמֹ֑ר בַּעֲב֣וּר זֶ֗ה עָשָׂ֤ה ה' לִ֔י בְּצֵאתִ֖י מִמִּצְרָֽיִם׃
(8) And you shall explain to your son on that day, ‘It is because of what Hashem did for me when I went free from Egypt.’

1. And it shall be, when you come to the land that Hashem your God gives to you as an inheritance, and you possess it and dwell in it.
2. You will take the first of every fruit of the earth that you bring forth from the land that Hashem your God gives you – and you will put it in a basket, and you will go to the place that Hashem your God will select in which to have His name dwell.
3. And you will go to the priest who will be in those days, and you will say to him, “I say today to Hashem your God that I have come to the land that Hashem swore to our ancestors to give us.”
4. And the priest will take the basket from your hand, and he will place it before the altar of Hashem your God.
5. And you will respond and say before Hashem your God, “A wandering Aramean was my forefather, and he went down to Egypt,
and he resided there few in number,
and he became there a great,
mighty,
numerous nation.
6. And the Egyptians treated us badly
and tormented us
and imposed hard work on us.
7. And we cried out to Hashem the God of our ancestors,
and Hashem heard our voice
and saw our torment
and our toil
and our oppression.
8. And Hashem took us out of Egypt
with a strong hand
and an outstretched arm
and in great terribleness,
and with signs and wonders.
9. And He brought us to this place and gave us this land,
a land gushing milk and honey.
10. And now, behold I have brought the first of the fruit of the earth which You gave to me, Hashem”.
And you will place it before Hashem your God and prostrate before Hashem your God.
11. And you will be joyed at all the good that Hashem your God has given
to you and to your house,
you and the Levite and the stranger in your midst.
(ז) יָצְתָה כַת רִאשׁוֹנָה וְנִכְנְסָה כַת שְׁנִיָּה. יָצְתָה שְׁנִיָּה, נִכְנְסָה שְׁלִישִׁית. כְּמַעֲשֵׂה הָרִאשׁוֹנָה כָּךְ מַעֲשֵׂה הַשְּׁנִיָּה וְהַשְּׁלִישִׁית. קָרְאוּ אֶת הַהַלֵּל. אִם גָּמְרוּ שָׁנוּ, וְאִם שָׁנוּ שִׁלְּשׁוּ, אַף עַל פִּי שֶׁלֹּא שִׁלְּשׁוּ מִימֵיהֶם. רַבִּי יְהוּדָה אוֹמֵר, מִימֵיהֶם שֶׁל כַּת שְׁלִישִׁית לֹא הִגִּיעַ לְאָהַבְתִּי כִּי יִשְׁמַע ה', מִפְּנֵי שֶׁעַמָּהּ מֻעָטִין:
(7) The first division [then] went out and the second entered; the second went out and the third entered. As did the first, so did the second and the third. They recited the Hallel. If they finished it, they repeated, and if they repeated [and were not finished yet], they recited it a third time, though they never did recite it a third time. Rabbi Judah says: the third division never reached, “I love Lord for he hears” (Psalms, because the people for it were few.
Psalm 113:
Halleluyah!
Praise, servants of Hashem praise the name of Hashem!
May Hashem's name be blessed from now until eternity!
From the place the sun rises to where it sets Hashem's name is praised.
High about all the nations is Hashem His glory is beyond the heavens.
Who is like Hashem our God who sits high above,
But who descends to see the heavens and the earth,
Who raises the poor from dust, lifts the needy from ash heaps,
To seat them with nobles, with the nobles of His people.
Who makes the barren wife a happy mother of children, Halleluyah!
Psalm 114:
When Israel went out of Egypt,
the house of Jacob from among a foreign people,
Judah became His sanctuary,
Israel His dominion.
The sea saw it and fled,
the Jordan retreated.
The mountains danced like rams,
the hills like lambs of the flock.
What’s wrong, sea, that you flee?
Jordan, that you retreat?
Mountains, that you dance like rams?
Hills, like lambs of the flock?
Whirl, earth, before the Lord,
Before the God of Jacob,
Who turns rock into a pool of water,
Flint into a fountain of water.
Psalm 115:
Not to us, Hashem, but to Your name give glory
for your love and truth.
Why should the nations say, “Where is their god?”
Our God is in heaven, able to do what He desires.
Their idols are silver and gold the work of human hands.
They have a mouth and cannot speak eyes and cannot see,
Ears and cannot hear a nose and cannot smell.
They have hands and cannot feel legs and cannot walk
they make no noise in their throats.
Like them will be those who make them and all who trust in them.
Israel, trust in Hashem! He is their help and their shield.
House of Aaron, trust in Hashem! He is their help and their shield.
Those in awe of Hashem, trust in Hashem! He is their help and their shield.
Hashem who remembers us will bless
Will bless the House of Israel
Will bless the House of Aaron.
Will bless those in awe of Hashem,
small together with great.
Hashem will increase you, you and your children.
You are blessed to Hashem who makes heaven and earth.
The heavens belong to Hashem but the earth He gave to human-beings.
The dead cannot praise Y-ah nor those who go down in silence.
But we will bless Y-ah from now until eternity,

Psalm 116:
I love Hashem who hears my voice and my plea.
Who inclines His ear to me; all my days I will call to Him.
Cords of death surrounded me and the narrowness of She-ol found me
I found tragedy and grief.
I called on God’s name: “Please, Hashem, deliver my soul!”
Hashem is gracious and just; our God is compassionate.
Hashem protects the simple; I was brought low and He saved me.
Return to your rest, my soul for Hashem has dealt bountifully with you.
For You rescued my soul from death, my eyes from tears,
my feet from giving out.
I will walk before Hashem in the lands of the living.
I trusted, even when I said, “I suffer greatly!”
I said hastily, “All people are false!”
What can I repay Hashem, who has given me all goodness?
I will raise up the cup of salvation and call out in Hashem's name”
“I will fulfill my vows to Hashem before His entire people.”
Weighty in Hashem's eyes is the death of His pious ones.
Please, Hashem, for I am your servant
your servant, born of your maidservant,
loosen my bonds!
I will give you an offering of thanks and call out in Hashem's name:
“I will fulfill my vows to Hashem before His entire people.”

Praise Hashem, all nations Celebrate Him, all peoples!
For His love for us is great and the truth of Hashem is eternal,

From the narrow place I called to Y-ah;

Hashem is with me, I will not fear, what can a human do to me?
Hashem is with those who help me, and I will see those who hate me.
It is better to trust in Hashem than to trust in man.
It is better to trust in Hashem than to trust in the powerful.
All nations surround me, I will cut them down in Hashem's name.

They swarm like bees, but burn out like brushfire, I will cut them down in Hashem's name.
You pushed me hard to make me fall, but Hashem helped me.
Y-ah is my strength and song, and will be my salvation.
The sound of joy and salvation is in the tents of the just:
“Hashem's right hand gives valor.
Hashem's right hand is exalted,

I will not die, but live,
and declare Y-ah’s deeds.
He let me suffer greatly, but did not give me over to death.
Open, gates of justice, I will enter them and thank Hashem.
This is the gate of Hashem; the just will enter.
I give thanks to You, for You answered me,
and became my salvation.
The stone rejected by the builders has become the cornerstone.
This is from Hashem, it is wondrous in our eyes.
This is the day Hashem made, we will rejoice and be glad in it.

Hashem is God and shines on us;
