וְעַל־כֵּן צָרִיךְ לוֹמַר עֲשָׂרָה קַפִּיטְל, כִּי יֵשׁ עֲשָׂרָה מִינֵי זִמְרָה, שֶׁהֵם בְּחִינַת הָעֲשָׂרָה לְשׁוֹנוֹת שֶׁנֶּאֱמַר בָּהֶם סֵפֶר תְּהִלִּים, כַּמּוּבָא (בִּגְמָרָא פְּסָחֵים קיז וּבַזֹּהַר), שֶׁהֵם אַשְׁרֵי וְלַמְנַצֵּחַ וּמַשְׂכִּיל וְהַלְלוּיָהּ וְכוּ', עַיֵּן בְּפֵרוּשׁ רַשִׁ"י. וְיֵשׁ כֹּחַ בְּכָל לָשׁוֹן וְלָשׁוֹן שֶׁל הָעֲשָׂרָה לְשׁוֹנוֹת הַנַּ"ל לְבַטֵּל כֹּחַ הַקְּלִפָּה הַנַּ"ל, כִּי כָּל אֶחָד מֵאֵלּוּ הַלְּשׁוֹנוֹת הֵם הֶפֶךְ הַקְּלִפָּה הַנַּ"ל,
2. Therefore, it is necessary to recite ten psalms. For there are ten types of song, which are the aspect of the ten styles that constitute the Book of Psalms, as is brought. These are: ashrei, lamnatzeach, maskil, halleluyah, etc. See Rashi’s comment. Any one of these ten styles has the power to negate the strength of the aforementioned kelipah, because each of these styles is the antithesis of the kelipah.
(א) אַחַר־כָּךְ גִּלָּה רַבֵּנוּ זִכְרוֹנוֹ לִבְרָכָה, הָעֲשָׂרָה קַפִּיטְל תְּהִלִּים בִּפְרָטִיּוּת, שֶׁצָּרִיךְ לְאָמְרָם בְּאוֹתוֹ הַיּוֹם שֶׁיִּקְרֶה לוֹ, חַס וְשָׁלוֹם, מִקְרֶה בִּלְתִּי טָהוֹר. וְאֵלּוּ הֵן:
(ב) מִכְתָּם לְדָוִד – טז
(ג) לְדָוִד מַשְׂכִּיל – לב,
(ד) אַשְׁרֵי מַשְׂכִּיל אֶל דָּל –
(ה) מא, כְּאַיָּל תַּעֲרֹג – מב,
(ו) לַמְנַצֵּחַ אַל תַּשְׁחֵת – נט,
(ז) לַמְנַצֵּחַ עַל יְדוּתוּן – עז,
(ח) תְּפִלָּה לְמֹשֶׁה – צ,
(ט) הוֹדוּ לַה' קִרְאוּ בִּשְׁמוֹ – קה,
(י) עַל נַהֲרוֹת בָּבֶל – קלז,
(יא) הַלְלוּיָה הַלְלוּ אֵל בְּקָדְשׁוֹ – קנ.
(1) 3. Afterwards, the Rebbe, of blessed memory, revealed the specific ten psalms to be recited on the day one experiences an impure emission, God forbid. These are:
(2) “Of David, a precious psalm”—Psalm 16;
(3) “Of David, an enlightening psalm”—Psalm 32;
(4) “Happy is he who is wise enough to help the poor”—Psalm 41;
(5) “Like a hind cries longingly”—Psalm 42;
(6) “For the Conductor: A plea not to be destroyed”—Psalm 59;
(7) “For the Conductor: To Yedutun”—Psalm 77;
(8) “A prayer of Moshe”—Psalm 90;
(9) “Give thanks to God; call out in His Name”—Psalm 105;
(10) “By the rivers of Babylon”—Psalm 137;
(11) “Halleluyah! praise God in His holy place”—Psalm 150.

הֲרֵינִי מְקַשֵׁר עַצְמִי בַּאֲמִירַת הָעֲשָׂרָה מִזְמוֹרִים אֵלּוּ לְכָל הַצַּדִּיקִים הָאֲמִתִּיִּים שֶׁבְּדוֹרֵנוּ. וּלְכָל הַצַּדִּיקִים הָאֲמִתִּים שׁוֹכְנֵי עָפָר. קְדוֹשִׁים אָשֵׁר בָּאָרֶץ הֵמָּה. וּבִפְרָט לְרַבֵּנוּ הַקָּדוֹשׁ צַדִּיק יְסוֹד עוֹלָם נַחַל נוֹבֵעַ מְקוֹר חָכְמָה רַבֵּנוּ נַחְמָן בֶּן פֵיגֶא. זְכוּתָם יָגֵן עָלֵינוּ וְעַל כָּל יִשְׂרָאֵל אָמֵן
הֲרֵינִי מְקַשֵׁר עַצְמִי בַּאֲמִירַת הָעֲשָׂרָה מִזְמוֹרִים אֵלּוּ לְכָל הַצַּדִּיקִים הָאֲמִתִּיִּים שֶׁבְּדוֹרֵנוּ. וּלְכָל הַצַּדִּיקִים הָאֲמִתִּים שׁוֹכְנֵי עָפָר. קְדוֹשִׁים אָשֵׁר בָּאָרֶץ הֵמָּה. וּבִפְרָט לְרַבֵּנוּ הַקָּדוֹשׁ צַדִּיק יְסוֹד עוֹלָם נַחַל נוֹבֵעַ מְקוֹר חָכְמָה רַבֵּנוּ נַחְמָן בֶּן פֵיגֶא. זְכוּתָם יָגֵן עָלֵינוּ וְעַל כָּל יִשְׂרָאֵל אָמֵן
I am connecting myself in saying the ten chapters of Tehilim to all the true Tzaddikim that are in our generation, and to all the true Tzaddikim resting in dust; especially to our Holy Rabbi, Tzadik Yesod Olam, The “Flowing Brook, a Fountain of Wisdom” (Prov. 18:4) our Rabbi Nachman ben Feiga who revealed this Tikkun. May his merit protect us and all Yisrael, Amen.
(ח) שִׁוִּ֬יתִי יְהוָ֣ה לְנֶגְדִּ֣י תָמִ֑יד כִּ֥י מִֽ֝ימִינִ֗י בַּל־אֶמּֽוֹט׃
(8) I am ever mindful of the LORD’s presence; He is at my right hand; I shall never be shaken.
(יא) תּֽוֹדִיעֵנִי֮ אֹ֤רַח חַ֫יִּ֥ים שֹׂ֣בַע שְׂ֭מָחוֹת אֶת־פָּנֶ֑יךָ נְעִמ֖וֹת בִּימִינְךָ֣ נֶֽצַח׃
(11) You will teach me the path of life. In Your presence is perfect joy; delights are ever in Your right hand.
(ב) אַ֥שְֽׁרֵי אָדָ֗ם לֹ֤א יַחְשֹׁ֬ב יְהוָ֣ה ל֣וֹ עָוֺ֑ן וְאֵ֖ין בְּרוּח֣וֹ רְמִיָּה׃
(2) Happy the man whom the LORD does not hold guilty, and in whose spirit there is no deceit.
(ח) אַשְׂכִּֽילְךָ֨ ׀ וְֽאוֹרְךָ֗ בְּדֶֽרֶךְ־ז֥וּ תֵלֵ֑ךְ אִֽיעֲצָ֖ה עָלֶ֣יךָ עֵינִֽי׃ (ט) אַל־תִּֽהְי֤וּ ׀ כְּס֥וּס כְּפֶרֶד֮ אֵ֤ין הָ֫בִ֥ין בְּמֶֽתֶג־וָרֶ֣סֶן עֶדְי֣וֹ לִבְל֑וֹם בַּ֝֗ל קְרֹ֣ב אֵלֶֽיךָ׃
(8) Let me enlighten you and show you which way to go; let me offer counsel; my eye is on you. (9) Be not like a senseless horse or mule whose movement must be curbed by bit and bridle; far be it from you!
(ה) אֲֽנִי־אָ֭מַרְתִּי יְהוָ֣ה חָנֵּ֑נִי רְפָאָ֥ה נַ֝פְשִׁ֗י כִּי־חָטָ֥אתִי לָֽךְ׃
(5) I said, “O LORD, have mercy on me, heal me, for I have sinned against You.”
(יא) וְאַתָּ֤ה יְהוָ֗ה חָנֵּ֥נִי וַהֲקִימֵ֑נִי וַֽאֲשַׁלְּמָ֥ה לָהֶֽם׃ (יב) בְּזֹ֣את יָ֭דַעְתִּי כִּֽי־חָפַ֣צְתָּ בִּ֑י כִּ֤י לֹֽא־יָרִ֖יעַ אֹיְבִ֣י עָלָֽי׃
(11) But You, O LORD, have mercy on me; let me rise again and repay them. (12) Then shall I know that You are pleased with me: when my enemy cannot shout in triumph over me.
(ב) כְּאַיָּ֗ל תַּעֲרֹ֥ג עַל־אֲפִֽיקֵי־מָ֑יִם כֵּ֤ן נַפְשִׁ֨י תַעֲרֹ֖ג אֵלֶ֣יךָ אֱלֹהִֽים׃ (ג) צָמְאָ֬ה נַפְשִׁ֨י ׀ לֵאלֹהִים֮ לְאֵ֪ל חָ֥י מָתַ֥י אָב֑וֹא וְ֝אֵרָאֶ֗ה פְּנֵ֣י אֱלֹהִֽים׃
(2) Like a hind crying for water, my soul cries for You, O God; (3) my soul thirsts for God, the living God; O when will I come to appear before God!
(יב) מַה־תִּשְׁתּ֬וֹחֲחִ֨י ׀ נַפְשִׁי֮ וּֽמַה־תֶּהֱמִ֪י עָ֫לָ֥י הוֹחִ֣ילִי לֵֽ֭אלֹהִים כִּי־ע֣וֹד אוֹדֶ֑נּוּ יְשׁוּעֹ֥ת פָּ֝נַ֗י וֵֽאלֹהָֽי׃
(12) Why so downcast, my soul, why disquieted within me? Have hope in God; I will yet praise Him, my ever-present help, my God.
(ב) הַצִּילֵ֖נִי מֵאֹיְבַ֥י ׀ אֱלֹהָ֑י מִּמִתְקוֹמְמַ֥י תְּשַׂגְּבֵֽנִי׃
(2) Save me from my enemies, O my God; secure me against my assailants.
(ז) יָשׁ֣וּבוּ לָ֭עֶרֶב יֶהֱמ֥וּ כַכָּ֗לֶב וִיס֥וֹבְבוּ עִֽיר׃ (ח) הִנֵּ֤ה ׀ יַבִּ֘יע֤וּן בְּפִיהֶ֗ם חֲ֭רָבוֹת בְּשִׂפְתוֹתֵיהֶ֑ם כִּי־מִ֥י שֹׁמֵֽעַ׃
(7) They come each evening growling like dogs, roaming the city. (8) They rave with their mouths, sharp words are on their lips; [they think,] “Who hears?”
(ח) הַֽ֭לְעוֹלָמִים יִזְנַ֥ח ׀ אֲדֹנָ֑י וְלֹֽא־יֹסִ֖יף לִרְצ֣וֹת עֽוֹד׃ (ט) הֶאָפֵ֣ס לָנֶ֣צַח חַסְדּ֑וֹ גָּ֥מַר אֹ֝֗מֶר לְדֹ֣ר וָדֹֽר׃ (י) הֲשָׁכַ֣ח חַנּ֣וֹת אֵ֑ל אִם־קָפַ֥ץ בְּ֝אַ֗ף רַחֲמָ֥יו סֶֽלָה׃
(8) “Will the Lord reject forever and never again show favor? (9) Has His faithfulness disappeared forever? Will His promise be unfulfilled for all time? (10) Has God forgotten how to pity? Has He in anger stifled His compassion?” Selah.
(א) תְּפִלָּה֮ לְמֹשֶׁ֪ה אִֽישׁ־הָאֱלֹ֫הִ֥ים אֲֽדֹנָ֗י מָע֣וֹן אַ֭תָּה הָיִ֥יתָ לָּ֗נוּ בְּדֹ֣ר וָדֹֽר׃
(1) A prayer of Moses, the man of God. O Lord, You have been our refuge in every generation.
(ח) שת [שַׁתָּ֣ה] עֲוֺנֹתֵ֣ינוּ לְנֶגְדֶּ֑ךָ עֲ֝לֻמֵ֗נוּ לִמְא֥וֹר פָּנֶֽיךָ׃
(8) You have set our iniquities before You, our hidden sins in the light of Your face.
(טו) שַׂ֭מְּחֵנוּ כִּימ֣וֹת עִנִּיתָ֑נוּ שְׁ֝נ֗וֹת רָאִ֥ינוּ רָעָֽה׃ (טז) יֵרָאֶ֣ה אֶל־עֲבָדֶ֣יךָ פָעֳלֶ֑ךָ וַ֝הֲדָרְךָ֗ עַל־בְּנֵיהֶֽם׃
(15) Give us joy for as long as You have afflicted us, for the years we have suffered misfortune. (16) Let Your deeds be seen by Your servants, Your glory by their children.
(א) הוֹד֣וּ לַ֭יהוָה קִרְא֣וּ בִּשְׁמ֑וֹ הוֹדִ֥יעוּ בָ֝עַמִּ֗ים עֲלִילוֹתָֽיו׃ (ב) שִֽׁירוּ־ל֭וֹ זַמְּרוּ־ל֑וֹ שִׂ֝֗יחוּ בְּכָל־נִפְלְאוֹתָֽיו׃ (ג) הִֽ֭תְהַלְלוּ בְּשֵׁ֣ם קָדְשׁ֑וֹ יִ֝שְׂמַ֗ח לֵ֤ב ׀ מְבַקְשֵׁ֬י יְהוָֽה׃ (ד) דִּרְשׁ֣וּ יְהוָ֣ה וְעֻזּ֑וֹ בַּקְּשׁ֖וּ פָנָ֣יו תָּמִֽיד׃
(1) Praise the LORD; call on His name; proclaim His deeds among the peoples. (2) Sing praises to Him; speak of all His wondrous acts. (3) Exult in His holy name; let all who seek the LORD rejoice. (4) Turn to the LORD, to His might; seek His presence constantly.
(א) עַ֥ל נַהֲר֨וֹת ׀ בָּבֶ֗ל שָׁ֣ם יָ֭שַׁבְנוּ גַּם־בָּכִ֑ינוּ בְּ֝זָכְרֵ֗נוּ אֶת־צִיּֽוֹן׃
(1) By the rivers of Babylon, there we sat, sat and wept, as we thought of Zion.
(ח) בַּת־בָּבֶ֗ל הַשְּׁד֫וּדָ֥ה אַשְׁרֵ֥י שֶׁיְשַׁלֶּם־לָ֑ךְ אֶת־גְּ֝מוּלֵ֗ךְ שֶׁגָּמַ֥לְתְּ לָֽנוּ׃ (ט) אַשְׁרֵ֤י ׀ שֶׁיֹּאחֵ֓ז וְנִפֵּ֬ץ אֶֽת־עֹ֝לָלַ֗יִךְ אֶל־הַסָּֽלַע׃
(8) Fair Babylon, you predator, a blessing on him who repays you in kind what you have inflicted on us; (9) a blessing on him who seizes your babies and dashes them against the rocks!
(א) הַ֥לְלוּ יָ֨הּ ׀ הַֽלְלוּ־אֵ֥ל בְּקָדְשׁ֑וֹ הַֽ֝לְל֗וּהוּ בִּרְקִ֥יעַ עֻזּֽוֹ׃ (ב) הַֽלְל֥וּהוּ בִגְבוּרֹתָ֑יו הַֽ֝לְל֗וּהוּ כְּרֹ֣ב גֻּדְלֽוֹ׃
(1) Hallelujah. Praise God in His sanctuary; praise Him in the sky, His stronghold. (2) Praise Him for His mighty acts; praise Him for His exceeding greatness.
