My initial thoughts for this bracha are that since it is the beginning of the Amidah, we bless God, reminding us of how he is not only our Lord, but also the Lord of our Forefathers. This is in order to understand how God does not only protect over us, but he protected and created all that was, is and will ever be. KH
My thought on the blessing is that during the beginning of the Amidah we say thanks for reminding us that god is not the only god out there. It also says that he is the god of the fore fathers. This is meant to cover and shoe that hod protects over all in the world. Lastly, the amidah is time to say thanks and reflect of whatever you want to reflect of and give thanks to the fore fathers and the fore mothers. EW
My initial thoughts are that there is a lot of emphasis on the generations, it repeats the names of the forefathers and talks about what God will do for our descendants. It also talks about two sides of God, that God is above everything and a great and mighty ruler, but it also talks about mercy and loving actions. SG
My initial thoughts on this blessing are that God is portrayed as a very protecting and kind presence because it refers to God as bestowing loving kindness, goodness, helper, savior, and shield
