ר' שמעון בן לעזר אומר יתר על מה שמרויחין הן מתחייבין שהן עושין את התורה פליסטיר ואת משה טפיש ואומרין אילו היה משה יודע שכך היו מרויחין לא היה כותב "
"R. Yose said, “Come and see how blind are the eyes of the usurers. A person call his partner, who is an idolator, adulterer,and murderer, and begs him to fall into his life. That other person brings a scribe, a quill, ink, the document, and witnesses and says, 'Come and write that he has no part in he who commanded about interest.' He writes it, uses it in court, and betrays the one who spoke and created the world. You learn that those who lend with interest deny the existence of God.”
R. Shimon son of Lazer says, “They owe more than they earn since they make the Torah out to be a fraud and Moshe an idiot. They say that if Moshe only knew how much they were earning he wouldn't have written it.”
